Bowie last played his Ziggy Stardust persona on July 3rd 1973 and a film , Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars , was made about the concert . Many years later I saw the film and to my astonishment I saw myself , aged 16 , in the foyer, what a surprise! It was filmed at the Hammersmith Odeon .
