Great song, oldie, by Left Banke.  There is another version (cover) of this song which I think is terrific and much better than the Left Banke version.  Sung by an Austin, TX artist by the name of Jimmy LaFave.  Can be found on his album called Austin Skyline.  Saw this artist a number of times over the years, very good, a lot of his material his own, excellent song writer.  He also does some covers, some Dylan material.  Sadly, he passed away a couple of years ago.  Anyway, worth a listen if you can find this, Walk Away Renee was a staple of his live shows, always performed.
