Band Maid have been going for nearly 11 years. But it wasn't until 8 years ago and many many attempts that they were allowed by the record and management company to actually play a song with both Lyrica and music they had composed. Since then they now write all their music.

Meanwhile in Japan, Saki (not the lead sing with Band Maid) but a metal/rock guitarist who has played with Mary's Blood and Nemophila has recently left them and become a single artiste although I would imagine people will soon be knocking down her door to play with them. Although probably not Band Maid as they have a pretty talented writer guitarist themselves.
