This would be a good free transfer. The guy has real quality but has lacked the end product. Klopp spoke well of him a few seasons ago and Barcelona got him for a season long long for a reason. The question is can Marco Silva give him that end product, we'll see, if nothing else he'll be a good impact sub.

I've always liked him, if he can just add some goals and assists he'll be an incredible signing

Have you watched him play? As a free transfer it's a no brainier. He won't walk in ahead of Wilson who I think will score around 10 PL goals this year.

Who have we been linked with who is much better than him? Not sure we have lowered our levels if we sign him. We've been linked with Callum Hudson-Odoi and Gray. I think Adama Touré is better than Gray. It's also a free transfer for a comparable player and will also allow us to save and reallocate funds

Those who say no final ball. Watch his 2022/3 highlights for Wolves and see how many decent crosses he put in that they didn't finish. Wolves were Parker-esque in front of goal last season and I don't think you can look at his assists numbers and blame it all on him.

Just people have said the fact he even played there is testament to the idea we could do much worse on a free transfer as the backup option to what was Daniel James place last year

I trust the Portuguese connections and this is an easy win, allows us to maybe fork out a bit more to get CHO or Gray over the line, whichever Marco prefers.

I do hope this one goes through. Traore would be a significant signing; a top class player at or about his peak in terms of age and experience. Free transfer as well.
