I had a bit of argy bargy with this Jacques Talbot about whether he was an actual ITK and he responded something
to the tune of "well dont follow if you dont like what you read"... I dont feel this is a message that a respected journalist would respond to someone essentially trolling him.

Also, if you read his so-called article there seems to be nothing new and certainly no quotes from anyone Id say was close to the deal.

I think we have seen they have signed his replacement and because they are cash strapped are trying to minimise our initial payments, we have form in Leno and recently with Smith Rowe. Reckon itll be done next after Cuenca.

His quote also says we have walked away after weeks of talks. Didn't their president say we hadn't been talking to them at all!!

 :slap:

Having said that he said that a good few weeks ago so could be since.

Who knows. Let's just pray that whatever game we are playing pays off.

Exactly why I suggested tiering journos when messages are posted..

Agreed, not a single one had Cuenca on their radar before Wednesday.

Yeh who is this Jacques guy ?, also from previous post, can you send the wife to Flu to haggle with them

Seems to be a thing where one journalist will start a rumour and the next one will poo-poo it. Appreciate views/ clicks etc but I find it so hard to not start @ing the journalist if they are wrong. I remember when Fab said Solomon transfer had died and shortly after it was confirmed... the amount of abuse he got was biblical.

The only ones you can rely on is when club want it known, and also when it is official announced by the club, most are guessing

Ok, so 3 in the door, 1 marquee signing, one feelgood free that could end up being a masterstroke if he can refind his former fulham glory, and a solid looking LCB to add further youth and potential to our back line.

A good start to business. Minimum 3, max 5 to go Id think COYW

Importantly the three signings are available for pre-season squad training.

Interestingly Fluminense fans seem to be having a bit of a go at the clubs twitter re tweeting about Andre now they've seemingly got in a replacement - they seem to think he was promised a move by their president and the offer from us is good enough. One even said they thought this was the peak of Andre's worth because he's hot property and they think that may pass if not done this summer.

Fulham know all of this. They need money and soon they either buckle or Fulham move on to other targets. Fluminense are aware the clock is ticking.

I know Romano gets a bit of stick on here but I find him incredibly reliable - that was a very rare piece of wrong info. He's held to an almost perfect standard.

Fulham have made plenty of transfer mistakes in the past, but I don't think this Andre saga is one. Fluminese are mucking us (& Andre) around, we have to hold our line.

I mean, he gets stuck more because people make statements about how good he is when he's consistently given out as many hits as he has missed (probably more hits than misses to be fair). But there's such a strange cult around the bloke. Criticism gets people's backs up which is so strange when he's just another pumped up agent mouth piece with a Twitter following.

He's good at what he does but reliable? As I always say, when he tweets, put your money on it and see how rich you are as a result.

See I find him pretty much all hit, and basically no miss - thats why there's such a cult around him and Ornstein.

I think he gamifies and amplifies the transfer window and also repeat posts saying basically nothing at times, which is tedious - but he does it for monetising. But I find his information extremely reliable.

If he says something is happening and you put money on it, you'll be quids in.

Fair enough. Yesterday he came with Cuenca piece out of nowhere and today here he is as a Fulham player. Romano is as reliable as it gets.

If that's your take mate, all I can say is, research it more. He's already got a few wrong this window and he got quite a bit wrong last window. His image, at least in my mind, has gone down significantly. He used to be a guy that reported less but more accurate and when he posts his signature 'here we go' it meant to mean something. Now, he says here we go and sometimes, weeks later it might of happened.

I appreciate people will ask for examples and my biggest one is always how wrong he was on Caicedo. He did 3 here we go tweets and one was right in the end....

At the end of the day, if you like him and think his tweets moves markets ie quids in, well, if he's right, and such an accurate safe bet, you don't need to worry and it should be lumps on and easy returns.
