🟢Fulham join the interest in Johnny Cardoso

🇵🇹The English club are thinking of the #RealBetis midfielder to replace the Portuguese Joao Palinha

20🇧🇷 % of Johnny's transfer belongs to Inter de Porto Alegre, with whom the green-and-white club are in negotiations for Vitao, with no agreement so far

👟⚽️🌬The possible return of Luiz Felipe is smoke

Quote from: I Ronic on August 03, 2024, 03:23:13 PMI've been following the various links on here, re Scott McTominay. The Galatasary people are saying he really wants to go there and hates the idea of going to Fulham. Despite their offer being way lower than ours. Ten Hag saying what a lovely bloke he is and he wants him to stay (despite the fact they've signed his replacement and need the money) so I've switched to looking at the betting odds.
11/8 Fulham
11/8 Stays put
9/2   Galatasary
11/2 Spuds
Then it's 11's or more for everyone else.
Seeing as we play them first game and if he played for Fulham and it lead to us winning or drawing their fans would be in uproar. I think if it happens it will be at the end of the window.
Still no news on Jason Koumas!

Haha, yeah im sure the Turks know exactly how McTominay feel and surprise surprise! He reaaaallly wants to join Galatasaray and haaaaates the idea of going to Fulham. Obviously.

Such a weird, China/North Korea/Russia esque publicity thing. Infantile but I guess it works for that fan base.

Suspect well hear more DM rumours flying about given things seem to be stalling with Scott and Andre for now
This is my take on it as well. Dont think anything is dead re André or McT, but we seem to have set some sort of limit with our respective offer and now bide our time basically, trying to wait Man United and Fluminese out.

If its true that Fluminese has already signed his supposed replacement, then I get it that we arent going to be pushed around and that Fluminese should realise their poor bargain positioning.

Still think that by next week we have two more central midfielders in our squad. If those are our obvious first choices remains to be seen

Quote from: SimonDaviesEnjoyer on August 03, 2024, 03:40:44 PMI'm prepared to bet Fluminese are a difficult party to deal with.

If my work and interactions with Brazilians in the past is anything to go by Im inclined to agree 😂

Yeh I dont think anythings dead till the windows over. If we're the only ones with or willing to spend 25m + on andre then theres no reason to capitulate early. Yes it's be nice to bed him in but who knows for sure what they're asking for.

God this is frustrating. Fluminese s replacement for Andre announced in the last hour:

Eurgh. Gutted if true.

The long game

That's a risky approach and one I wouldn't personally make for a player who could be key to us and how we play next year, and additionally needs time to adapt to the squad, tactics, language (to a degree) and league.

Appreciate what you're saying though.

Surely with Fluminense having secured their replacement  and announced it today, andré should be free to leave.

General

P.s. I do get there's the need to be smart and strategic about this stuff and £4.2m isn't a small amount.

Hoping the transfer team know what they're doing and don't f**k it up.

RAY Rock

157 pages and Fulham have finally pulled out of negotiations with Fluminense for the man the myth the legend André Trindade da Costa Neto. 🤦♂️

demeant0r

Even if we didn't replace Palhinha, this squad is good enough to beat 50%+ of teams in the PL

Not sure we've given up on the andre deal. As always just wait and see if a credible source has something to report.

Well my wife is brilliant at the night markets in Thailand, she will haggle for England, then walk away, if they want a sale they come after you, never failed yet.
Story of my life
"I was looking back to see if she was looking back to see if i was looking back at her"
Sadly she wasn't

They still want Fulham to pay €30m
Fulham want to pay €25m
Currently that's the problem but I'm confident Fulham will get their way

I guess the transfer will be 'on' when an offer from us is accepted by them. In this sense, therefore, as Angus T. says above, the transfer has always been been 'off' - or, at least, ever since Fluminense made it's counter-proposal that we have declined to meet. So nothing new in the tweet.

Having courted Andre for some time, it wouldn't be a complete shock to me to find, coming into this window, we had an understanding with Fluminense that 25M euros would be the fee. Upon Palhinha's departure, we then put that on the table only for Flu to renege and demand 30M. And Shad's decided we're not going to be played like that. Fair enough for me.

FFC1987

Normally I might be a bit aggy if it felt like we were dragging our feet....but we just signed Sess and Smith Rowe so just got to roll with the positivity. What will be will be.
