By the sounds of the different tweets from Romano and Athletic people (inc Rutzler), my guess is that it is brinkmanship over the add-ons.

They did pay £25m for him a year ago, so makes sense they need to drive a tough deal.

I think Silva will be fairly happy with Nelson in, but can't imagine he's happy with how this has played out.

He clearly thought we needed one other attacker, not to get one and lose one.
