Quote from: Beamer on June 30, 2024, 02:25:28 PMSurely it's time for us to go back to Bayern and tell them that despite their attempt to use the player to put pressure on us we should remind them that they knew the value we had put on the player and that their rather derisory offer of 40 million was nowhere near enough. Trying to force our hand by upping it slightly and grandly saying that it was a 'final' offer had done little to improve the attitude towards their negotiating stance.
We should then say that as a gesture we would reduce the price to 55 million and that it was our 'final' offer which was open for 1 week and then automatically withdrawn with the price returning to 60 million.
Then explain to JP that they are simply trying to get him on the cheap and if they won't pay what we consider a fair price (as pretty well agreed last time round) he should consider just how much they really want him.

I've no idea if clubs talk to each other like this but you have hit the nail on the head, this is by far the best and fairest way to progress for our point of view.

Agree, and also tell them they have 7 days to agree the deal or that's it over and done with.
we need to force there hand so they no we mean it when we give them the sellers price

Like the look of him and definately need new blood on the wing.
Was heavily linked with west ham, hope we get him

Should be relatively cheap as well. Only has 1 year left on his contract. Think I saw a while back it could be around £10m. Assuming both Bobby and Willian are leaving then we need two LWs and that should leave us plenty of money to spend bigger on the second one. Ideally, someone young with high potential.

Yup 20m release clause with 1 yesr left so sounds about right.

Him + ESG and our LW and CAM options are taken care of (and potentially upgraded) for around 35m.

It seems we are wanting more off the german club for us to improve our squad, which has a bigger problem this summer than last with William and bdr a year older munis still learning  the Mexican older, stanfield has got to learn how to play premier league football having to replace tosin ream older the money from the sale won't be enough to plug holes and improve the squad even worse if we have to sell an extra player to raise money which will create more pressure this im afraid is waiting to explode, when they bought the club they pumped money into it without doing future planning they are trying now but they created this problem themselves and could backfire on us having waisted 10 year without a game plan.

Fulham will push forward with a move for Danish winger Jacob Bruun Larsen this week.
The relationship between the two clubs & the players desire to return to the premier League should mean this deal can be done relatively quickly.

Not set the world alight since he burst onto the scene as a teenager in Dortmund 6 years ago, but still had a respectable season for Burnley. Shouldn't be too expensive and is versatile enough to fill a big chunk of the hole that BDR leaves when it comes to coverage.

Pavel Dempsey

Jota Silva and Bruun Larsen would be two solid signings for a modest fee, imo.

Who is ESG? I keep seeing those initials but can't work out who it is?

At first I thought it was a typo, but I've seen it loads of times, so was just checking it wasn't a different player..

jayffc

Has been a typo, not sure why, perhaps theres something similar on different peoples phones' predictive or something.

Sferico Sports Management Jota Silva's agents will be shown around MP this week ahead of a potential move for the Portuguese winger.

Marcel_Gecov

Does anyone know if BDR or Willian have actually officially left the club now considering its the 1st July?

JimmyConway

McTominay might be a very intelligent signing but not at the £40m shown in exploring summer deal?
