I have always defended AP to a point but really is time for him to go this summer. Honestly anything north of £15m to £20m and I'd take it and let King fight it out with ESR. If he's still here next year I'd actually be pretty disappointed at this point.

If King turns out not to be good enough we have other options at 10 if ESR doesn't nail it. Prob is what better club than us that AP wants to go to is actually going to want him? Perhaps someone in Europe but just not good enough to go better than us in the prem.

More nonsense About AP.
Has he ever stated that he wants to leave?

Quote from: No one like Leggat on July 04, 2025, 09:11:28 PMI've been dreading him getting mentioned with us. He doesn't even look interested when he plays. A big Noooooo!
If anyone at Fulham think for a second that Sterling is the answer, then they need to stop asking questions...
He never looks like he cares... £300k a week is everything that is wrong with modern day football...

Directly quoted it last year I believe. Personally I don't give a monkeys however if he wants out or doesn't. If we want to kick on I don't think he's good enough which is why personally I want us to move on.

Brilliant in the press and for me we don't score from set pieces since we lost anyone that can score an attacking header which is not his fault but makes his corners redundant. End of the day cant defend well enough as an 8, offers little from open play as an 8 or 10 and is blocking King coming through. Last chance to get any sort of decent fee for him. For me it's time to go then regardless of whether all this chat is true or not about him wanting out.

irish_mike

Rescued him from his embarrassing moment in Brazil.

Doesn't respect our club.

Off with him

Definitely a dip in form from the Previous season won't be too upset either way.

If AP genuinely wants to go then I say cash in!

Quote from: FFC007 on July 04, 2025, 10:10:00 PMI'd give a penny for Marco Silvia's thoughts on the lack of signings....
Same as always. He will moan, state something about ambition etc.

It's nice that he is so demanding of the board. But the board are within their right to be demanding of Silva.

Record points total last season, sure, but it should have been more.

Silva will be backed. He always has been but probably toward the latter end of the window as always
He's coming home he's coming home he's coming Kebba coming home.

OZ-WHITE

Just let AP head off to Fiorentina and replace him with Mikel Oyarzabal - job done
If it wasn't for the medication I,d be chewing on your skin

Agree with the general sentiment on here. In the same way Reed was mega when we were promoted but now isn't essential, AP is known for his workrate more than his skill.

It's time for us to play players who have workrate AND technical ability.

Regardless of whether what he's said is true or not, now is the right time for the club to cash in and move on.

Defo. He's a decent player who never has any lack of effort and credit to him for that but the AND is crucial.  ::thumb::

Not the first time AP has come out saying he wants to move so the result is easy

Let him leave, I only want players who are 100% committed to the club
Remember you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.
I will be as good as I can be and when I cross the finishing line I will see what it got me

I'm going let the truth be dealt with by Marco and the club as after last Seasons outburst by AP will leave it to them to get to the truth, also ESR can play there with Josh King and TC if he stays.
So not worried. To the point we bought ESR as he was bought in for that role and he will be more comfortable there this season.

Funny think about the Sterling discussion.  I've always liked him, thought he was a terrific player.  Of course, now past his prime.  But I was off on the first resurrection of Willian, and proved wrong about him and his ability to contribute.  Not saying I want FFC to acquire Sterling, but maybe it should be analyzed.  Maybe current club willing to chip in on the wages?  Anyway, bottom line, no, I don't want to see him arrive here and bring our average age in the team in wrong direction.  But, what do I know, I'm just a dopey fan.  And I was wrong about Willian.  So, the in-the-know professionals may analyze differently.....

windy I am the same if on a season loan,Marco wants it and works his magic and we get a stellar Stirling season out of him then he would improve the team if he got back to that quality (as did Willian)he would give us an edge ahead of the brentfords and Brighton's which is what we all want to see.
Now the question is,gossip or factual.

StuinSalop

We can have ESR, King and Wilson compete for the 10.

All this angst, has anybody actually heard Pereira say this or is it just regurgitated tosh.

Just a few comments from me.

If Iwobi goes then it should be for at least £40m as it will likely cost that to replace him, unless we find someone from abroad.

As things stand Andreas doesn't get into our starting lineup, so if he wants to go and we get a good offer for him then all the best to him - he's done well for us over the last couple of years.

James McAtee, I really hope we sign him this summer.

And as much as he divides opinions on here Harvey Elliott would do very well for us.
