I beilive we do, is it 25%?
It is 20 or 25%, think that is of the profit and not the total fee

Yes it should be on proift, which it mostly will be given they paid very little anyway
7 million I think so anything above that
Ok cool, so the Athletic says Pool want £40m with a buy back option or £50m without. So assuming they sell for £40m, that's £33m profit, if 25% cut then we get £8.25m?

I'm getting concerned that this thread will not reach 229 now.

No worries now as 229 pages will be exceeded, many thanks to contributors. I can now collect my bet.

Quote from: Surlyc on August 08, 2025, 09:43:00 AMFor me, the most important thing is to sign a new winger (Kevin sounds like a great option) and then to sell Pereira and sign a true box-to-box midfielder. Doing that would be the bare minimum for a C grade transfer window.

I'd be annoyed if we missed the chance to cash out one or more of Diop/Reed/Traore and get a bit younger as a squad, but a winger and a CM are critical to this coming season. Currently it's hard to justify anything above an F grade, but there is still time.

I would like an out and out striker as well please.

We currently have 7 midfielders competing for 3 positions - I don't see how we would buy unless Pereira and/or Reed are sold. At the end of last season that looked likely, but it doesn't at all right now.

The absolute priority is a 3rd striker and 1 winger. Then potentially one more winger and cover at left back (although personally I think we have enough with Sess, Bassey, Cuenca or even Castagne able to play in that position).

KentFulham

I cant belive Reed is even still here given he is so far off the pace, AP is just bang average and a hinderance to set peices. Both should have gone to make way for something better

If it is 25% yes and a little less if it is 20%, I can't remember the exact details, but they paid 7 or 7.5 million

I was hoping AP would go for a good fee but the problem is Marco F'ing loves him! We 100% need a box to box 8 who can create and assist and I'll be extremely disappointed/annoyed if we don't get one. All rumours are we are going for one. If we do I would imagine one of Reed or AP will go and we'll keep one for a back up/emergency option and to be fair no issue with that. I'd rather sell AP for a decent fee and keep Reed as the low cost back up but bet it will be the other way around if it happens.

I dont get the MS & AP love affair, its very odd. MS needs to come and stand in the Hammersmith end at watch him from our view.

Agreed. I would be happy to see AP and Reed both sold and replaced by just one signing. Might cost us on net transfer fees but would probably represent a saving on wages.

Finally someone else sees what I see  ::scarf::

He's an attacking midfielder that doesn't score and doesn't assist - he just runs around a lot. So did forest gump but I'd not want him playing either :)

There's the rub? Both have devalued and would likely have to drop standard of football so why leave a cushy number like Fulham? Unless they go on loan likely to be here until contracts are up and then look for one final payday!

Certainly the issue I think - It highlights that not only buying players is a issue for the club, but equally there is an incompetance in knowing when to sell/offload, the two things are affecting each other. We are just not particually agile or dynamic in the world of buying and selling

Translation: What @Santi_J_FM reports about #Fulham is correct. The British were willing to spend 30 million euros for him, but that amount is absolutely not enough for PSV. Pepi himself is now aiming for a season with lots of goals for PSV and wants to go to the World Cup.

Marco is a professional football manager who watches and trains this guy day in day out. Could you accept that perhaps you are the one missing something?

I could If maybe MS could come out and tell us what it is we are not seeing? It certainly has not been demonstated. Examples being set pieces, MS could just say "I have AP doing all set pieces because of xxxxx" What we are all seeing is a guy who can't deliver the ball from dead play

So you just ignore everything you see from your seat at FFC and 100% approve of every player's performance because our manager selects them? You never, ever take the view that any of them should be moved on? You're just happy to go with whoever this manager, and all the preceding professional managers, select. After all every manager is a professional and they all see their players in training!
Have to say this is a remarkably sanguine viewpoint but credit to you for your absolute faith in football managers.

Quote from: DM on August 08, 2025, 09:23:59 AMThese articles going out now are all for leverage. Fulham will sign players. They don't have a huge amount of money or wages spare so to maximise the budget they are waiting for prices to drop.

Parts of these articles are correct, the youth progress & keeping the squad together but Fulham will 100% sign new players.

As a guess this is my take on it. Have a bit and waiting for the right prices/players in this ridiculously over inflated market to make the most of what we do have. Perhaps one marquee signing as per the bid for around £30m to £40m, perhaps another at £15m to £20m and then a loan or two. Still then only spending £50m to £60m which is low in prem terms but we already have a full and expensive squad and still fills the 3 or 4 positions we need to improve. Here's frigging hoping anyway!

🙏

Honestly mate I can't say it will happen that way or not. What I know for sure is Fulham will definitely add players before the window shuts.

Maybe in training his set pieces are on point but in games he is finding it more difficult because of lack of movement or quality of defences and keepers. Maybe everyone else is worse than AP. Hard to say. I can only think of 1 good one, his low ball in which Muniz flicked past Newcastle keeper. That was very well done and won us the game against run of play. It's obviously an area we could profit from with some investment in coaching and a better delivery, ideas and execution. But even Arsenal got worked out by about Christmas and didn't really threaten to score any more.

PSV are getting mad over there, they rejected 30m for an unproven player who wasnt even a starting striker for them. I am personally happy for that, would much rather have Romulo for 20m or even Sadiq for less than 10m.
