My biggest worry the Mexican,harry wilson,triore are out of contract end of new season .Harrison reed and pieriera can't have long left on their contract,possibilities Nelson on loan and possible loan of White City boy come liverpool,mancity,chelsea come arsenal and no permanent youngish signings and manager out of contract and if not making europe their hasn't been back up plan this could be hopefully the end of our sports directer put your computer game away and keep following make believe wrestling the real world could be a big shock for you and Teflon.

Isn't the arguement against Palhinha kinda sustained in this video though? It's not that he didn't tackle the hell out of teams and do it in such an exciting way, but it was done semi clumsily, and more importantly the haphazard manner meant it was messy in terms of distribution etc..?

The argument made on Palhinha is that we arguably were held back by him despite his quality, because we were over-reliant on it, but also because it wasn't always productive in the sense that it was 'collect a ball simply, and redistribute it with a forward pass as quickly as possible'..

So many of these tackles do lack that classy touch, where he takes the ball of a player, whilst standing up, and keeping the ball to play a fast ball forward..

They're more of a crash in to the person/ball and see where it lands/goes out..?

P.s. It's not necessarily the argument I'd make..

But there's a point to it.

For what it's worth, I think his use is best understood if he's a DM in a team with a potent front line, like his first season with us, when Kebano, Willian, Mitro etc were all here and, if memory serves me correctly, we got the most goals in a season we've ever scored.

The problem with that is, did he strengthen our attack, but weaken our defence?

There must be a balance to be had somewhere.

That said, our defence is arguably stronger now, so would that make as much of a difference?

If we got Sterling, KDH, Nelson in on top of Wilson, Adama, Iwobi and ESR - would we have enough goal threat to make the most of the possession?
