Yep, very good player. Wouldn't have been available till now, certainly at this price. So the right moment for him to move on, and glad it's us that's taken a chance on him. A move I'm sure most fans can get excited about.

Building a nice core of exciting high ceiling youth on paper to add to an already existing experienced squad. Love to see it.

Would be a shame to let our top scorer go, in a team that has struggled for goals

Yes, and on the other hand it means the club is planning for Wilson's agent trying his luck for a huge payday. I'd say they've managed it well.

I personally hope both Wilson and Chuk stay, especially if we get into Europe. I actually think Chuk has been one of our best players, and he's the one I look forward seeing play the most - at the moment anyway. I would be surprised if we didn't exercise the option to buy him, he's worth more than the £22-26m reported exercise option price.

Any idea when Bobb ready to play?  Thought he was currently on an injury.

Next signing has to be Chukwueze.  Get him inked.....

Chuck for me has been next to Wilson has been outstanding.

Morning private jet into Farnborough from Manchester tomorrow morning 😅

All journos saying Bobb will have a medical tomorrow, so essentially you were bang on with this!  :slap:  ::cool::

Signing Chuk is key in my opinion, letting him go would be a backward step

As I say, credit to another guy who mentioned the flight eslewhere. I just looked it up to confirm and share screenshots 😅 Does appear spot on - shall we head down to Farnborough with the banners? ::scarf::

I'd be shocked if we flew him down; we make the team get a train up north quite regularly for matches. I'm not a betting man but a long shot might suggest it was for Sara as he's one of our top CM targets and playing in Manchester tonight against City?

I wonder what the structure of the deal is - i.e how much up front, and how much in performance related add-ons?

Could it be that we're paying £15m or something much smaller, or £20m, with £7m in performance related add-ons?

He needs to do a medical and sign the contract. He'll definitely fly down.

Good negotiation by TK perhaps

20% sell on is quite high if I were to have one complaint.

Neutral Zone Ultra

Sterling just been paid out of his contract by the blue scum, maybe the Bobb agreement has led to that as they've realised they're not going to be selling him?

20% on profit, allegedly is the norm. It's high, but it's the sort of deal that allows us to drop the up front cost, which we need to do to afford such players so I get it.

We have something similar with Stansfield I gather.

Deeping_white

Hypothetical question; if Wilson won't sign because he wants silly wages and Sterling would be willing to sign up on a similar deal to what we've offered Wilson (circa £100k p/w), would you sell Wilson now and bring in Sterling, knowing we've got Chucky & Bobb as young RW options, Kevin at LW and then space for an "experienced" winger with Adama leaving and Sterling stepping into that role?

I think it could legitimately force the club into making him make a decision, as Sterling as the older head to replace an outgoing Wilson could make sense, unless Iwobi moves back to wing.

Hope Bobb isn't coming in to replace Wilson as he is not a goal scorer.

"Doc, I've got a cricket ball stuck up my backside
"How's that?"
