Craven Mad

Quote from: FFC1987 on July 15, 2026, 01:20:34 PMPersonally think Bissouma is a dreadful idea. Injury history, very questionable character for the dressing room with a lot of extremely questionable, some alleged and cleared, some clear evidence of and fines/managers comments to believe.....I really liked him at Brighton, but he's not been anywhere near those levels for too many seasons now on top of all the other stuff......Technically an upgrade in quality to someone like reed, but a massive downgrade in regards to character, professionalism and changing room vibes.

Spot on.

Id be happy to be proven wrong, but cant say i like the idea of this at all.

Bassey the warrior

Fair points about his attitude I wasn't aware he was a bit of a troublemaker.

demeant0r

Was his troublemaking days when he was at Spuds or was it also at Brighton? Perhaps Spuds brings out the worst in people.

I read somewhere they made a bid of €40m for Muniz. I'd snap your hand off for that right now. I don't think he fits Arbeloa's tactics.

It's unheard of for a Brazilian club to spend that much, so I guess this isn't anywhere near true.

They hold a 28% sell on clause so if we ask 30m they would pay 22m

Wow that was a poor transfer negotiation strategy on our part.

🇳🇴Fulham have made an enquiry for Torino right-back Marcus Pedersen. The Norwegian scored one goal during his nation's World Cup campaign. Arbeloa is looking to bring in a new right-back. #FFC

Castagne. He was quoted as wanting out before and to be honest, he had a pretty good world cup so I'd try and cash some of that in.

Great, let's take whatever we can get and have a fresh start re strikers.

Absolutely!, We wont get the 40m Euro that Atalanta were going to pay, but we will get something, I suspect something nearer to 15-20 if we are lucky, then take off the sell clause.

With regards to right back how we are not all over Wan Bissaka at Westham all things considered. Good defender excellent crosser of a ball and experienced the type a new manager can rely on?

If we're talking English RBs I'd prefer Norton-Cuffy from Genoa (ex Arsenal). Seen him linked with us and I'm a big fan. Would be on way less wages with a lot higher resale value.

To be honest though, RB is another area I just think we don't really need to strengthen. I think Castagne and Tete are more than good enough and would rather see money spent elsewhere.

Castagne is not good enough in the PL, looks OK against weaker players in the WC, but PL he gets stretched to often. Tete is great but does not have a full season in him

FFC007

I think Bissouma is second hand damaged goods in my opinion.

He won't be cheap wages wise.

Not really, we got him for just £7m, so we can make a big profit. I expect we'd want to get at least £30m net for him, we turned down £35m last season.

Considering how long our transfers take, we probably managed to get them from an agreed 10% sell on clause to 28%!!

No way his performances since then will retain that value
