Sounds like their manager is against him leaving if translate is right. When valuations are met, players move - especially when this sale and Inao Oulai will have got them 60m from an 10m outlay within 12 months.

there is a suggestion that because they sold Oulai for 30m+ they don't need to sell Nwaiwu and this journalist doesn't normally make up stories.

I read somewhere we and Villa are being linked with Dusan Vlahovic. There's no way he'd join us over Villa who have CL football but one can dream.

The Cravenette

Talking of Villa, Morgan Rogers to Blue Poo for £117 million!

Yeah, can see that. But that's wild 60m from 10m quid within 12 months would be hard to turn down.

This may be one that runs right up until deadline day when they finally line up a replacement 😂

So effectively it's no new arrivals so far this season and we get up and running in just over four weeks.

It's pathetic.

The guy has 7k followers on Twitter which isn't many for a reputable journo & has been contradicted by someone who is more reliable that says if we'd offer €30m which we have done, the deal will get done. They're also looking for a new CB which would be an odd thing to do if you're not selling one

Given he was here last season he isn't a new arrival or fresh face in the building!

I might be a bit over optimistic here but with a new manager at the helm and some type of goodwill towards him I would be very surprised if there are not a few new shiny toys for him to unwrap in Portugal trip which is what around a week away?
The other toys he'll have to open on 1rst of September!

"But it's necessary to add a caveat;

Since transfer matters change in an instant, if a new development occurs and Fulham steps in with a net 35, then of course different things could be discussed."

Quiet?
By all reports we've been pushing hard for this transfer for Nwaiwu and reputable outlets mostly saying it's still likely happening - they're currently looking for a replacement while he's liking every Fulham post going.

Also heavily linked repeatedly from major outlets this week with making moves for Franco Mastantanou , Garcia and Cesar Palacios (currently they just got a new manager so naturally he's taking a look at them in person for first time)

As well as reports this week of on going interest in Shea Charles.
Allegedly in talks with Genoa around a move for Norton Cuffey.
And yesterday of being in talks with Cardiff over a youth move for Axel Doncwez

Our first new signings of the window generally fall around the last week of July between 20th -30. Seems we're on pace to do that again - albeit we already tied up a permanent transfer for JKA a while ago

I think I would wet myself if we sign Garcia

Having said that t could be my age as well

Do we really need another centre back? I'm not getting the hype over Nwaiwu.

Nwaiwu is a defender that's destined for the top. He has everything, from ball winning cleanly, aerial ability, fast, short and long range passes etc. He's a winner as well having won the FA cup in Austria and Turkey. He will bring that winning mentality to Fulham. He's just 22 and he has high resale value. He's made for the EPL

The blahblahman

Seems the Nwaiwu deal is all agreed except the payment structure. If my translator on YouTube is correct 😂. They think tomorrow it will become clear.

Sigh.  Lots of news.  Lots of hope.  No actual signings.  So Fulhamish.

Hull doing some business:

Hull City are closing in on the signing of 30-year-old former Newcastle left-back Matt Targett, who is a free agent after leaving the club this summer. (Mail)

If we get another striker and a CM in they are the 2 positions that we are short.
