Other tickets are available.
My season ticket works out to £37 a game in Hammersmith End

And once you've factored in transport/food/drinks?

Well i live over 200 miles away, so whether the ticket was £1 or £99, travel is the main cost for me. But that's nothing to do with the club surely or the fact that we've not appeased some fans by early signings?

It's the principle. The club expects us to fork out hundreds a season supporting the club, so the least they can do is ensure that if three of our best players are going to leave the club that they get some replacements in in good time for the start of the season. Especially when all our rivals are strengthening.

I'm sure that FFC want replacements to suit arebola list ,but who you want and who they get well who knows.

I have been for many many years. I don't seem to get triggered by them as some people do!

Stockholm syndrome, Jim. I haven't been to the Cottage for a few years, but they've been a foul pit of corruption for as long as I can remember.

Anyway back to actual transfer rumours, news out of Turkey is that our latest offer for Nwaiwu has been accepted so hopefully that one will be resolved shortly.

Yes, let's hope and see what transpires with the Garcia story. IF his agent was at Motspur earlier this week, I doubt he'd have come over if it was a no go from Madrid side.

I believe he's also the agent of a few RM Castilla players we're interested in so might be multiple irons in the fire as far as that one is concerned!

Quote from: Ara's bacon crisps on July 24, 2026, 09:31:18 AMWell, I think Anderson and Rogers both got done quickly because the buying clubs overpaid by about £50m for each of them. Same with Tonali.

If we'd offered £70m for Nwaiwu it would have been done in 10 minutes, but we can't and also the one big lesson the owners definitely have learnt is from the Anguissa/Seri splurge and how overpaying knackered our finances for about 5 years.

It baffles me that people don't see this.
The fees for both of those players as you say are many, many £ms more than they should be.

Its cause they feel we should just spend and to hell with it i guess.

If we are prudent there are gems and excellent deals out there to be had. Id rather wait for what is worked on than be a sh*te club like chelscum overpaying and cheating the system

This sounds like two extremes. There are ways of conducting business early and finding good value for money.

Fulhams way of approaching transfers has always been scanning the market for players with the best value and waiting out deals rather than being proactive and having a plan for exactly who they want to bring in - and then act early on.

vancouver

We seem to be gambling again by leaving things late, im sure Marco would have released an annoyed statement by now.

Maybe that was half the appeal of a younger cheaper manager, Tony can dictate with the expectation our manager keeps quiet.

FFC007

The problem we have is that we have no players to sell for a big profit. Most of our competitors in the league have made a whole wad of cash by selling and have reinvested in better players.

We are selling older players near end of contracts for pittance, or losing them altogether for free.

A shame our scouts can't do their jobs by identifying these excellent deals!

BestOfBrede

Lots moaning about ticket prices..
Lots moaning about missing out on Europe..
If you can't afford a ticket how would you afford following FFC abroad?

Lots moaning about ticket prices..
Lots moaning about late signings to save' a few quid'..
Who's gonna pay for early, probably more expensive, signings?

Don't get me wrong, I'm also slightly concerned, but the books have to be balanced, unfortunately.

So, who have you identified from the comfort of your armchair the top 5 players we should sign
Remember you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.
I will be as good as I can be and when I cross the finishing line I will see what it got me

From the BBC gossip column...

Roma are interested in signing Norway winger Oscar Bobb from Fulham even though the 23-year-old only moved to Craven Cottage from Manchester City six months ago. (Retsport via Football Italia), external

Lol we only just got him

jayffc

Highly doubt we'd sell Bobb. We were tracking him for quite a while by all reports and don't need to sell really.

Unless Roma offered something insane like the Saudis paid for summerville (which they aren't going to do because they weren't willing to spend more than around £39m on him as it was) there's really no point in making the sale. 1 or 2 good seasons under Arbeloa and his worth absolutely skyrockets

Think we've had some excellent deals personally
