It's also pretty depressing when EFL clubs have spent more than we have...

Coast94

New manager and lost our two top goal scorers. Yet nothing looks even remotely close. Shambles but nothing will change under these owners.

Who are Fulham Pure ?

If so, it's clear we are only interested in damaged thrown out second rate offerings.

This is a panic signing.

A shambolic window thus far..

Perhaps Willian is available....

Ah yes because bidding £30m for a CB and £24m for a CM denotes second rate players ::wine::

sarnian

A lot of panic on this board re transfers and worries about usual late deals. Remember this year the window closes on 1 September so every team will have only played twice when the window slams shut.

Yes we will see signings earlier but have a feeling because of players returning to their clubs late from the World Cup that there will be a lot of clubs dealing late.

Hey, don't let reality or any kind of sense or context get in the way of rage and hyperbole...

Now repeat after me: we are doomed!

There may well be a lot of late deals but almost every single Prem club have somehow managed to do more deals than us despite the WC.

We'll hang on, these are not verified facts. Ok it was strongly rumoured that we made these bids but who knows? And anyhow we didn't actually sign them. So let's not let rumours get in the way of hyperbole either!

A bit of light relief befitting the Summer Silly Season:

Then how have Elliot Anderson, and Morgan Rogers deals been done so quickly?

World cup has no bearing on players making moves. If they want to, and the club wants to, then it happens

We're just very poor at transfers and have been for a while

Most clubs have signed at least three players by now, with the exception of, Fulham, Palace and Bournemouth who've signed 1..

https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/13546618/transfer-news-summer-transfer-window-2026-premier-league-deals-ins-and-outs

Palace could sell Lacroix, but if they do it'll be for a hefty fee and they'll have more of  warchest to spend (not forgoing the fact they've also got more money from winning trophy and getting in Europe than normal).

Only Leeds remain an outlier beyond those with two signings, one of which is Wilson..

Most other clubs have done a decent amount of business and fast.

Whitestone

It's the usual story with Fulham when it comes to transfers. It can't be a coincidence every year so it must be down to the incompetence of those responsible for transfer dealings.

Fair play to them if they pull it off. It'd be extremely shrewd, not only in picking up the highly rated young CB, but causing a London mid-table rival a serious problem too.

Whitestone

Palace are also linked to Christian Matsima so all just rumours at the moment. Hopefully we are still far enough down the line to get Nwaiwu done.

They have allegedly already agreed terms with Matsima

Well, I think Anderson and Rogers both got done quickly because the buying clubs overpaid by about £50m for each of them. Same with Tonali.

If we'd offered £70m for Nwaiwu it would have been done in 10 minutes, but we can't and also the one big lesson the owners definitely have learnt is from the Anguissa/Seri splurge and how overpaying knackered our finances for about 5 years.

It baffles me that people don't see this.
The fees for both of those players as you say are many, many £ms more than they should be.

NFR but Summerville has moved to the desert.

I would have bet good money against that just after the World Cup.
