Quote from: sunburywhite on Today at 11:09:31 AMOn 1 September 2025, James joined EFL Championship club Leicester City on loan, with a €5 million option to buy.[19][20] James was selected as Leicester City player of the season for the 2025-26 season.

isn't that James Justin, Jordan James was Birmingham wasn't he?

Nah Jordan James WAS at brum as a kid signed by Rennes young - had a meh season in Ligue as a teen, went on loan to Leicester last year with an option. Had a very good year it seems - but they got relegated so presumably player wasn't interested in the move, and or Liecester couldnt afford the fee with their financial woes.

James Justin was signed by leeds in 2025 from Liecester

Quote from: Deeping_white on Today at 11:10:42 AMLong term Reed replacement I would say - 15 G/A last season playing anywhere from attacking to defensive midfield in a honking Leicester team and only 22

If he is a Reed replacement, then it feels a smart bit of business and possibly a step up.

If he's a potential Lukic replacement, I'd be a little more anxious.

Please Please Please
Wouldn't mind this signing, but not sure it will happen, if it is true what I have seen on the ever reliable X, that RM want to retain 50% of his registration as I am not sure that is allowed under PL rules

A player can't be owned by multiple entities in the PL, but for this purpose they would just have it be a 50% sell on and it serves the same purpose.

50% sell on is incredibly bad business. We might as well not get him if that's the stipulation.

Depends on the fee. If it was £20m with a 50% of profit sell-on (or a £50m buy back), that's a much different scenario to £40m with the same stipulation(s).

Also if it's on profit or the entire transfer of course. So many variables

Bracken White

Personally, very happy about this - exactly the striker we need. And with the young right winger + Palacious, perhaps this would appease Arbeloa & give us the strengthening we need.
All this + Black shorts!
Real good news.

It's supposedly €50m and if they want a 50% profit sell on fee on that, it would be pretty bad business.

If he scores 20 goals for a couple of seasons and we sell him on for EUR100m, it would be good enough for me, if that's the only deal available. It's only bad business if he turns out to be turd.
