in fairness there were worse toilet facilities for example, Elm park saltergate the vetch field one visit there there were no light and only the light from the doorway just as well you couldn't see what you were wading ankle deep through.

Well our campaign has finally worked, all that hard work has paid off. Despite the miserable brigades negativity and whinging like holier than thou men of the cloth.
Shame on you and may your haemarhoids continue to itch.
May I take this opportunity to thank all my colleagues and associates who without them we would not have achieved our goal.
We can now celebrate the own goal by the miserable brigade and holier than thou men of the cloth. So let us run around in triumph, while the miserable brigade finish off crying in their Oxtail Soup.
Further more I can confirm the arrival from Siberia 2 Lorry Loads of Gelignite for good measure.
So let us drink to swimming with bow legged women.

You can cancel the order of the high yield explosives now!

Ah the Vetch in Swansea, was one of my favourite grounds.  The plant known as vetch is a member of the pea family often seen on grassland, farmland and waste ground, as well as at the coast.  So, perfectly named!

I have to say the vetch doesnt hold many happy memories, I think we lost the fist time I went which must have been in the late 80's, the next visit was even worse, we lost 2 1 and were relegated to the bottom division, my last visit was more positive we won 2 1 on our way to promotion under Mickey Adams, the atmosphere despite the small crowds was always decent when I went, though the locals weren't always friendl.

Take a bow those who've contacted the club, petitioned, lobbeyed for years, if not decades. The picture doesn't look like they've changed dramatically on the outside, but hopefully the insides have been improved substantially. You all deserve a medal for putting up with them, but also finally seeing them get changed! That's dedication to a just cause.

Mr Woolly should be the ribbon cutter to officially open the five star hammy end bogs...

I remember the bogs at the Goldstone ground when I was a wee young lad...

They were disgusting.

Interesting to see mention of the Vetch. Normally no lights and once you felt splashing underfoot you ventured no further.

Prior to refurbishment, St Andrew's and The Hawthorns had open air khazis. Saltergate probably had them up to demolition.

Sounds like the experience most had last season in the hammy end!

without wishing to discuss everyone's toilet habits or bladder control, I generally use the loos prior to kick off (and don't venture back) and haven't encountered any issues with the toilets in the Hammersmith end is it normally post kick off the issues occur ?
*back in my younger days of drinking on the terraces I missed a few goals while on a toilet break, perhaps this is why I stick to my routine*

So we did it!

What a proud moment this is for everyone involved in such a remarkable crusade. To those co-conspirators who so gallantly became a part of this historic campaign (with special mentions to Mr Woolly and FFC007), we thank you all! And to those who cleverly expressed faux outrage at the longevity of this thread, just to keep it going, your efforts are similarly appreciated.

I've witnessed some wonderful Fulham moments over the years (great escapes, playoffs, Juventus, Hamburg etc) but surely this one tops the lot!

Over 16,000 views and over 250 posts tells you that this was a long and arduous battle.

So as we approach the 6 month anniversary of my OP, and the club puts out the bunting over the newly refurbished facilities (as they surely will), go take a pee in the Hammersmith End toilets with great pride, knowing that you were part of such a magnificent campaign.

Success never smelled sweeter!

Well said FFCpmd, I'd put this up there with the achievements of Fulham 2000.  :slap:

Hopefully this puts an end to the 'trap roulette' that Hammersmith Enders had to endure.

We are honoured to be such noble warriors for such a just cause...

I await with bated breath the first reviews that will appear after today's match. I am expecting full unabridged personal experiences with no detail too small. After all, Count Binface  very successfully campaigned on the positioning of an air dryer. Only thoroughbred reviewers please ( Nick Bateman does not know his loos).

Blimey, I wasn't expecting him to re-enact the Battle of Loos.

Excellent and well done..
Can you now work on the Golden Lion loos, please?

_Putney_

Did anyone get a great picture of the toilets today? There would have been nothing weird about taking the pictures at half time.

SP

Had a look in before the game, beautiful, four resplendent cubicles with the smell of fresh paint. Just disappointed I didn't need to christen them.  ::beer::
