What exactly is his role in this team ?

He came on today and was completely non existent, to be fair the whole team was non non existent other then Leno and TC who put in a shift considering how drab we were

30 million pounds worth ? We all wanted him so know one can really complain or was it just hype cos we got him from Man City ?

Hoping he improves, he better improve

Stoneleigh Loyalist

Don't start on him he is not the only one who deserves criticism. It is not as though he has come into a team which is playing well.

Lot of money spent on a player City didn't want to keep.
Same with Smith Rowe.

Just like ESR and to a point Kevin, these 3 big signings have been disappointing so far.

Fulham 1879

Our most expensive players have generally proved poor value and cheaper players excellent value. Leno, Tete, Muniz, Raul, William, Robinson, Lukic and Sess cost combined about the same as one Anderson, Berge, Bobb, Kevin and ESR. We need to focus again on unearthing good quality players at bargain prices and not just spend on marquee signings unless they're absolutely guaranteed to add something special to the team. The expensive players in my list haven't performed better than the cheap list and I'd argue that they've often not been as effective. Copy Brighton, Brentford and Bournemouth.

Brentford spent 41 million on Dango Ouattara last summer and 35 on Tiago the summer before. Bournemouth spent 37 million on Evanilson and 35 on Diakite. Brighton spent 46.7 mill on Georginio Rutter and 35 each on Minteh and Kostoulas.

Bobb has been with the club for two months and Kevin less than 6 and is injured, give them a chance. I think ESR has generally been very good and value for money when compared to other signings in that price range. Sure it would be great to uncover gems for 2 million every transfer window but it's easier said than done.

It's obviously not easy but we had a good track record, as my list of players proves. Have we unearthed one player at real value since my list? The outward appearance is that we've changed a good strategy.

I think he will need a pre season but I keep saying that about ESR.

He looks skillful but no where aggressive enough .

Somerset Fulham

Think its a bit early to dig this one out to be fair, Perry.

Same with Smith Rowe.

Logically, isn't every signing a player the selling club didn't want to keep?

How do you know when it isn't?

ESR was coached in the Arsenal framework of quick short passing, Fulham are coached in slow methodical game, the only player in that mode is Cairney and he has slowed down a lot, it is also noticeable when ESR is taken off the press goes with him.
Story of my life
"I was looking back to see if she was looking back to see if i was looking back at her"
Sadly she wasn't

Not at all lots of players have gone to other clubs who didn't want to sell, players have forced moves.
Money Money Money.

Deeping_white

He's not actually been able to play in his preferred position of #10 or out as RW yet because Silva keeps playing Wilson even though his heart doesn't appear to be in it now, and he's not doing anything other than scoring an occasional worldy. We need to now have an eye on next season and start playing the players who will likely be here, although given our manager seems to be doing us the disrespect of not counting his intentions it makes that somewhat more difficult

ron

ESR seems to be off balance every time he gets the ball and tries to hold it beyond his usual two-touch and preferred backwards pass. A 30 million plus outlay is entitled to expect more than that.

Rambler

Bobb is not a bad player. Neither are the rest of our players. They've all dropped form as our manager can't actually get a good performance from them. Blame Marco.

Look at Simons at spurs today. Was rubbish under previous managers. Seems to have a new lease of life under de Zerbi.

hovewhite

At least his first season here i could see in smith Rowe his  quality but Bobb sorry cannot say the same  more 2 bob.
As for chuck not sure has lost his spark and not as affective.

our best players,, along with Muniz, sadly, misused by the manager. Our slow play negates their worth. Another manager, with this squad, would comfortably be in a euro place

Don't blame the players but the one sucking the life out of them

I get it and I did say I want him to come good of coarse BUT I just don't see anything in him so far and what role he plays
No flare in his play whatsoever

Next season we will see
