Emmylou Harris, great Townes van Zandt cover - her intro reminds me of a Billy Connolly  story, about a typical Glasgow party, where everyone is drunk and singing of longing for home - but they've never been anywhere!

But the idea of escape from home, and of longing to return, is a big theme in country and the Blues, and folk - well, most can relate to this longing in some way, especially if your situation isn't  great.

First heard this in 1970 - my first year at uni...He and Paul Simon had released Bridge Over Troubled Water ...I was watching this this morning and felt sad...dunno why. He had such a stunning voice and is still brave enough to take on one of their most difficult songs...suppose it's the regret of ageing

It made me sad watching it. Bridge over troubled water was my first album ever and i had all 6 they ever released. Art had the voice of an angel but watching him sing this is too painful
Its like watching a 60 year old man play football at Old trafford for man U
Remember you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.
I will be as good as I can be and when I cross the finishing line I will see what it got me

Yes she has been around for a time. Very successful tours and collaberations as well. Has concerts with dancers and does a variety of different musical styles.

Thanks, Mr. Lighthouse. I've just discovered her. The fiddle is such a versatile instrument and some of this is quite freaky.

Taylor Momsen, the little girl who was in 'The Grinch who stole Christmas' always says she is much happier being a singer than when she was as an actress. The Pretty Reckless always a favourite.
