Not sure how I feel about this if true. 30mil a huge chunk of money for someone who is probably less proven than Muniz
I think Nketiah is a good player, but I'm just not convinced he's a good use of £30m.

Maybe a try before you buy loan could work though - a £7.5m loan fee and £22.5m option (even if it is just to motivate Muniz - a "Broja", if you will)?

Amortised over a 5 or 6 Yr contract, with the potential he's got its worth it.

Nketiah is better than Broja.

We shouldn't be paying over 20m for either ESR or Nketiah.

Also, Nketiah really doesn't seem like the type of striker Marco goes for. His hold up play is rather poor.

No disrespect to Muniz who had a fabulous purple patch towards the end of the season but NKetiah is up another level personally.

Nketiah is older, has zero hold up play, incredibly weak, and Muniz in half a season has already doubled his best goal return in a prem season.

Oh FFS, hope this is just idle speculation. It's so bloody hard being a Fulham fan when we seem to get constantly raided for our players. One minute we're looking to build on our previous season and the next minute half the team looks to be off!

Depends if people are gullible enough to believe all these tinpot websites. Last window Andre was a done deal. Already this window Tosin was a done deal at a Newcastle. According to all reports Ten Hag was going to get sacked straight after the FA Cup Final but is still there ( at the moment ).

Well last pre season this topic was mainly Palhinia the same being JC and the papers, what will this and the paper speculation be this pre, season?

Deeping_white

Playing devil's advocate here a bit; quote Chelsea £90m for Muniz and if they're silly enough to pay it like they did with Caicedo et al, then we'll have doubled our budget for this summer's window, made a huge FFP profit on Muniz and sped up the timeline for the mini rebuild we need to undergo. I think he's a great player and a fantastic prospect, but if Chelsea are willing to gamble mega money on him based on half a season then we should take the money and make the squad stronger.

F(f)CUK

He needs a season or two as our starting striker before he moves on to a bigger club.

MickTheBeard

I think you would have to wait till the end of this season to see whether munis can keep up the standard he set last season and can improve for him to be worth 50 mill plus

This forum is so defeatist sometimes.

Chelsea opened their pursuit of Caicedo at £55m and ended at £115m. I'm not saying we could achieve such a big fee, but we don't need to sell Muniz. Why not stand firm like Deeping White suggests? Selling him for £15m-£30m when a comparable player costs £30m is madness.

Chelsea wanted 30m for Broja and Muniz kept him out of the team so he would have to be north of that figure. As far as Chelsea are concerned it would have to be 50m minimum.

I wouldn't accept £30m or £50m for Muniz, you would have to go to £60-80m if I were to consider it. If he gets 15 goals next year (which I think is very achievable) then he's probably close to a £80m player, because he's young and Brazilian (not that nationality matters but sometimes it does for whatever reason).

I think I read something about Marco Silva saying that we are not constrained by FFP this window, so if true, we are in a good position. I think we'll go for 4 or so players of quality, but let's see.

It's amazing reading this forum at times. Everyone wants the club to thrive/succeed and win silverware.. yet every transfer window everyone seems to be happy to talk about selling most of the players in our squad and our best players, as if they're actually happy with mediocrity.. it's an odd form of self sabotage and I wonder whT other areas of everyone's life the twisted logic of essentially getting in your own way, or self sabotaging happens when for a large majority it doesn't need too.

A fascinating watch and perhaps something to reflect on if you find yourself not happy with your life.

That's where you're wrong, a large contingent of Fulham fans hate the idea of the club doing well. Their support is entirely based on moaning and complaining. They seek out the cloud.

Thailand Mick

Well I for one don't want us to sell any of our best players and I posted last season that I wanted us to add four top quality players that would likely have cost 30-40 million each but FFP screws clubs like us so it seems the only way for us to be able to afford those players is to now and again sell one for a large profit. I don't think most fans want to sell but are just speculating a players value if it came to that.

hovewhite

Muniz to the Tennant's,tell them to do one as more quality investment in 4 or 5 players and keep the nuclear of our squad we will be challenging them for the top spot of west london.as for posters on these sites amazes me.

KJS

Chelsea are showing no ambition by signing Tosin so why would Muniz want to go there anyway??

Thames Bank 1

Chelsea have enough forwards, and due to FFP would have to sell to buy.
