I just saw on skysports website that Palhinha has signed for Bayern Munich for £47.2m plus bonuses. Interesting as I thought it was up to £47.2m with bonuses included.

I wish it were true but guessing this is just shoddy Sky reporting as per usual getting things wrong.

With our year of preparation and knowing the deal was done for over a week now surely Andre or someone we have pre agreed signs next few days? I won't be betting on it but everything crossed to get this transfer window going.

Will be interesting to see if all this interest in Andre was ever there or just complete fabrication. So many reports that we were just waiting for Joao to go to sign him and no one else seems to be that interested.

Interesting, and once again highlights a club can put forward an acceptable offer - a club record fee no less, ,the player can want the move...and the selling club can still try and hold on and play about with when they release the player for more than one reason - in this case, reportedly to keep the player there and playing for them as long as possible, and to give them time to replace Andre (despite our interest reportedly having been clear for a long time now)

Let hope we can wrap this up soon. Andre, ESR,  Semih Kılıçsoy, Joto Silva, Chalobah. What an exciting and youthful set of signings those would be! If we managed to pull that off I'd be very keenly looking forward to the start of the new season.

Even with Pahlinha's money I can't see us being able to afford all of those fees/wages on your list given PSR/FFP. As much as I'd also like all of those sadly life isn't Football Manager.

Think it will be a case of Andre or ESR, not both given our need to bring in 2 x Prem ready CBs, plus a LB. Stansfield will plug Bobby's spot but another winger also needed for Willian. Squad needs a lot of surgery so money per post available to spend won't be as high as needed for all of that list.

That would be great, but my point stands that can't see us signing both him and Andre for the fees/wages quoted plus all those other names when we need 2 x Prem ready CBs and a LB - just to tread water.

Even signing Andre and ESR would be a stretch financially if we still want to plug the defensive gaps with quality players.


Realistically I could see us signing one of ESR/Andre, maybe a Chalobah, then have to get more creative with our remaining kitty sadly.

Would be delighted to be proved wrong but I fear the shift in FFP rules next year is really going to stiff us.

Not sure whether it's like or necessity. Potential comes at a premium these days.

I wouldn't be surprised if money restrictions means we buy Andre, maybe end up bringing in EST on a loan (maybe with an option in a year or no option) and then spending the rest on CBs.

Jaoa has officially left. But I notice on the FFC site that Willian is still on the "Men's Team" page but BDR isn't and neither is Jaoa now. Does that mean we've not given up on Willian signing a new deal yet?
