Not sure he has the passing range or quickness of mind/feet in tight spaces.

Love Bassey but we saw him struggle on the ball and get targeted by the opposition press when he play RCB last season, let alone in a crowded midfield...

Plus he's a fantastic LCB so no need to move him

just look at his ability at LB as an attacking LWB for Rangers. Hes better on the ball than he gets credit for, hard to shrug off it, strong and mobile amd his range of passing and crossing at rangers seemed pretty good at LB. I think it's a role he could probably do but still would like him at CB.

I'm not saying he's useless on the ball by any stretch and I know he was an excellent LB for Rangers.

Equally Ajax fans hated how limited he was (by their standards) as a ball-playing CB. That, along with the eye test of him literally being targeted by prem teams just by virtue of being shifted to his wrong foot at CB, to me suggests he'd struggle in midfield where you have much less time.

But anyway we're getting off-topic and it's a moot point because we'll be watching Andre spraying the ball around from DM this year (I hope)

It isn't silly. Often see multiple rumors start circulating about similar players as a Fulham deal gets close. Not sure if they come from the club, agents, or journos releasing information they'd previously held back on. There's definitely a pattern though.

Part of what makes me think the club are a ways out on Andre. Very little rumors out there on similar guys.

Don't know how much we can read into it in terms of Teams and lineups, but Liverpool beat Sevilla 4-1 today, where we obviously lost 2-1 to them.

We did play a weak team first half and won the second half 1-0, but may be a gauge of where we stand in comparison to Liverpool..

Genuine question

How come you only picked this game as a potential yard stick? (when by your own admission we won the half where we actually played  our first team players vs sevilla and were by far the better team in that half, where as Liverpool gave significant minutes to their starting 11 from the start)

but didn't mention:

We beat Benfica - but Brentford only drew with them
We beat Hoffenheim 2-0 but Ipswich only won 1-0

Additionally in the BCDs friendly where first team members played:
We beat Watford 6-1. -  Brentford drew 1-1 with them.
We beat QPR 4-0 - Tottenham only managed 2-0 and Brighton 1-0

If we're going to use any of them as a barometer of where we're at v other teams (and by the way I don't think we should at all for various reasons for what it's worth) Why only the Liverpool comparison?

Fair enough. I think he could do a job there but agree that it's not an experiment I'm particularly wanting to see nor think will happen. As you say I anticipate we'll see someone new for that position before the end of this window anyway.

It is a useful account, I've ditched X now for various reasons - but one thing that was slightly infuriating was reposting recycled articles (givemesport etc.) or clearly unreliable rumours from people who aren't proper journalists.

It is fun though reading the rumours, but we can go down rabbit holes buying into too many of them.

To be fair I don't think anyone here in these last few pages has suggested he has ever claimed himself to be ITK...and myself included commented as such, that he's just a channel that collates info he finds online and reaches out to journalists occasionally...and also added that I follow him and am grateful for him correlating the news stories he finds online in this very thread.

The only mention of him being "ITK" came apparently ,according to General, from one of those on our board who themselves claimed to have inside info himself, namely "DM". Outside of that no ones suggested he's claiming to be anything other than what he is and I think most would say they have been grateful for him seeking info on fulham and adding it to his channel, many stories of which we all share and discuss here. Seems like a good kid.

Hope you right, just don't believe he quite has the physicality for top flight football. To be honest I think we will regret not competing with Brentford for Carvalho. Stil believe he can go to the very top ..

Carvalho an odd one to choose when saying wilson doesn't have the physicality.
I think wilson is a very decent player, deserves more time on thr pitch imo.

Yeah he just posts news stories in the main and nothing else. On the odd occasion he says someone has told him something. Essentially all he is doing is what the News Now website does..pools any football story that mentions Fulham:

The difference is that when he posts it we get a load of engaged Fulham fans commenting which like here I find interesting. On there (unlike here) also get other clubs  fans commenting which again can be interesting. Point is he is just posting journo s articles in the main, most of which are complete BS of course.  I don't think he's ever claimed it is anything more than this. I've watched his You Tube show and he is not claiming inside knowledge on there 95% of the time. On the odd occasion says a journo has said something but the journo s don't have a scooby do 99% of the time either of course. Lol

I've never set eyes on him so couldn't tell you his age but he certainly told me he has a son that he goes to football with.
