We Are Premier League

Probably out of our budget but id like a cheeky bid for Richarlison and Awoniyi (do I dare to add Sterling...) with the new strikers their clubs have/are purchasing

Deeping_white

I know it's Chelsea but they've got a few players surplus that might actually be helpful for us in David Fofana, Sterling, Chukwuemeka & Chalobah, albeit convincing some of them to join us would be tricky

Jack Clarke?

Gnonto?
Such an inconsistent winger though. Not sure his the type of left winger we require?
is that the Plymouth lad Whittaker
Whittaker isn't a bad shout to be fair can play wide on one side or through the middle. He had a decent season in the Championship last season playing in a struggling side.
scores goals as well from the wide position.
Agree, quite quick as well

El bilal toure on the move. No idea if we were ever actually interested.

I think ill leave the speculation on a nameless championship attacker alone though until we hear something more specific though.

So far we have
Gnonto 20 million
Whittaker 12M + 6 add ons
Clarke 15M + 5 add ons
I will throw in
Yaser Asprilla 15M + 4 add ons
Probably be none of the above the prices i speculate are what i think the clubs will want. No more cheap talent
Just seen Watford want 34 million for Asprilla

@jolslover

Gnonto, Asprilla and Clarke would all be quality

Could Silas be on the move 😉

Would love Jack Clarke, was just thinking yesterday about why noone from the Prem was in for him more seriously. He always looks a great option. 25 in 87 off the wing is not to be sniffed at.

Forest have bid for Santiago Gimenez, supposed to be a top player.

I'm so lost with FFP if they can make that kind of bid, while we make two huge sales and are seemingly unable to spend much again.

I don't think anyone claims that we are unable to spend big because of FFP. On the contrary, it seems rather clear that we have a decent amount of spending power. Question is of course if we will use it. Personally I believe we will spend quite significantly in the next two weeks.

Gimenez is a good player for Feyernord, been linked with Arsenal in the past. Mexican national team player as well so knows Raul. Could do well for us but if we want someone across the forward line he probably isnt the one for us.

I think last summer Fey wanted north of 50 million for him

I agree, I also think it is likely we will spend relatively a lot in the last 2 weeks of the window. We need a Centre back, holding midfielder and a forward at the least. If CB is Joa we are looking at 25-30 million it seems, or if Carlos then maybe 20-25 million. If the holding player is Andre then that is 20-25 million, lets say we go McTominay as a general midfielder instead then thats 25-30 million. Forward player no idea who we are linked with but lets say another 20 thats somewhere between 60 million and 85 million or so.

No idea if my valuations are correct just going on media reports

They'll have money to spend as long as there are other corrupt owners that are willing to pay £20 million for their backup goalkeepers in order to circumvent FFP.

JimmyConway

Personally think we need two very good midfield players. One defensive minded the other more box to box type. Both Andre & Scott fit the bill. If you look at the likes of Reed Lukic for example are tidy players but no way they take you up another level in this league.

They've sold three players for about £80m total this summer, double what they paid for them 1-2 years ago

It's just their spend across recent years is absurd. We've made two big sales across last two windows and haven't really spent anywhere near as big as them.

As SOTN say above, that just seems to be our choice at this point, reckon we've got about £100m in headroom if the owner is still underwriting permitted losses

Part of me also thinks we're playing the long game. Teams like Forest, Everton, Chelsea etc, will hit a wall soon. Individual player transfers will be audited which is apparently going to be properly implemented soon, looholes currently exploited will slowly get ironed out overtime,  so the optimist in me just thinks we're waiting for a load of these clubs to implode, having paid those premiums for players, and will be desperate to offload which is when Fulham, in a really decent position, can invest heavily without any worries (now anyway) of loss making seasons.

Just a guess though and that's when the setup can get maximum value and ideally, cement us as a top 10 side. Feeling positive about the future of this well run club.

Agree with all of the above. As a fan though you want to see us be as competitive as possible and that's why it can be frustrating seeing clubs spend more than us, especially when we all know how good the coach is. Perhaps it will work out in the long term.
