Was thinking similar to this. Do we get one in before Saturday or like the No11 bus four arrive at the same time? Being 30th August? Giving them two weeks to acclimatise!!!

Out of 250 pages. Maybe three have been actual transfer news. The rest has been twaddle, discussion, hypothesis and anxious wringing of hands. So not really a fair reflection.
The above IS NOT A LEGAL DOCUMENT. It is an opinion.

We may yet hear the horse talk.

I can stand my own despair but not others hope

And don't forget the endless bickering and arguing...that must have covered a fair few pages!!

Quote from: Angus Telford on August 19, 2024, 03:28:28 PMTraore is absurdly overrated on this thread. He's had a career of false starts and generally struggled to get in our starting XI. The Man Utd game showed that his one trick, pace, usually gets sussed out by defenders within 20 minutes, and even when he beats his man, his final ball is poor to inconsistent. There's a reason we picked him up on a free.

Didn't Traore help us get 3 points there last season by embarassing a couple of their defenders with his pace? You literally cannot "suss" out pace. Their defender did well in the second instance but Traore was hardly sprinting with the ball at that point.

You don't play for every age level of Spain, Barcelona and 150 odd Prem appearances if he's anywhere near as bad as you make out.

Seems to me he's a player that many observers unreasonably bash for not being a superstar. I've been very happy with his performances in a Fulham shirt, several blockbuster sub appearances and has done well when he's started.

Edinburgh White

We're averaging nearly 80 pages of arguing and speculation per actual signing on this thread. Maybe by page 330 we'll have signed another player...!

Rambler

United only will let Mctominay go if he wants to leave.
He's stated he doesn't want to leave. I'd be surprised if this one happens so I wish we'd move on with other targets, before getting caught with our trousers down on deadline day with subsequent panic buys

DM

Sander Berge emerging as a potential alternative to Scott McTominay.
The Scotland international is battling with his heart as he decides whether or not to leave his boyhood club.

Either way this seemingly could work for us.

NUFC buy Gomez and we're more likely to land Anderson as Guehi stays at Palace.

We sign Gomez and palace consider selling Guehi to Newcastle or keep both players I guess.

Yeah and if the fee is true it potentially encourages Palace to drop Andersen to £35m. End of the day Gomez is a year younger and has been playing for Liverpool. No way Andersen should cost more.

Proper domino's dealings with these centre backs possible.

Looks like Berge is a done deal...

I would also assume we'll be signing at least 2 CM's now because he's not a #6

Caedal

I thought Berge was a CDM. I obviously haven't watch him enough.

He's a step down from McTominay in my opinion

Rambler

IMO he is no better than what we already have at the club in his position in Reed and Lukic, so this is not a good use of 20million

Super Mick

If Marco is happy, we should all be happy!

demeant0r

Is Berge any good? I don't remember how he played last season.

I dont know what to believe any more haha

Berge is more of a proper DM so... In addition to Scott? Given MUFC valuation perhaps instead of? Different players though.

This would I assume take Andre completely out of the picture. No idea haha.

Either way it's gonna be a fun couple of weeks. Berge has been one we looked at a while back under Marco so perhaps he is indeed still keen on him as an option. What a ride ha
