Harvey Elliot has basically announced he's leaving Liverpool. I know he didn't leave us on the best of terms, but he was just a kid then and I think he'd be an excellent replacement for AP.
I know he left on bad vibes, but all he ever wanted was to play for Liverpool, he and his family have supported them forever. He apologised for the things said, he was a young kid and was not good with diplomacy, I would take him, most people deserve a second chance.

Agreed - not sure he would want to come back though given the amount of abuse he gets at CC every time he plays...!

Would be a shame, but don't think Silva is close to giving him a shot in the first team so makes sense from his point of view.

Good talent but has a bit of a hot-headed streak in him that he needs to grow out of if he wants to make it

He's defo not good enough from what I've seen yet and not really the right profile for a Silva system anyway. Be nice to make some frigging money out of the decent prospects however as he is certainly that! If we had him tied down a loan to Celtic with an option would have been perfect. We offered him a contract of course and cant make him sign and who knows what happen d the last few years in terms of trying to extend him but another in a line where all we will get is a compensation fee. Hopefully that is at least something and a sell on is built in, in case he comes good. Prob about to benefit from that big time with Elliot do not the worst thing if Osmond has say a 20% sell on. Not sure how it works but assuming it is forced as must have been with Elliot as he left when contract had expired as well I believe.

We could always try and find some gems from other clubs and do the same, don't hate the player and all that!

We only have ourselves to blame

Exactly. Frustrating

With AP likely on way out, I'd take chance with Elliot, assuming he'd like to return to CC.

Edit....If he would come our way a requirement  must be new hair stylist.  One of the worst heads in the league.

Can't give a opinion on Callum osmund as he has only played 21s football the only sad thing silva said he was going to train next season with the lst team well obviously osmond was not impressed nor was silva he does
Not like younger players hasn't tried to persuade him to stay another year,or our sports director is too busy to look at the pro's and cons in his ability,

AJW48361

Fulham offered him a contract and he's within he's rights to talk to other clubs.

RAY Rock

Elliot Is as slow as a snail have you seen him run he can't get close to players tracking back

If Marco is not going to pick youngsters then they will not stay! If King disappeared to another club it will show a worrying trend, we need to integrate youngsters better imo.

I have said this before but Silva does promote youth to train with the first team where he will watch them every day.  He will then decide when they are ready to step into the first team match day squad.  His policy of picking our best 11 players on match days and the required substitutions seems perfectly reasonable to me.  Are some people saying he should prefer youngsters to better senior players because that is a crazy approach.  Also, if an u21 will not sign a contract and gets a better offer from elsewhere are you saying we should pay more than we think they are worth or promote them over better senior players? Again, I don't see how you can fault Fulham for this.

If you watched King at the end of last season, do you think that Reed was that much of an upgrade? There is a balance to be struck and I think Fulham has been pretty poor at it.

It is a similar situation to Carvalho and O'Riley not getting any playing time under Parker. Parker was also picking the 'best' players. By Silva's own admission Carvalho was already set on leaving by the time he came in, and he said he would improve player integration. At some point you have to walk the walk and not just talk the talk.

QuoteAlso, if an u21 will not sign a contract and gets a better offer from elsewhere are you saying we should pay more than we think they are worth or promote them over better senior players? Again, I don't see how you can fault Fulham for this.

Other clubs clearly manage to do better. It usually isn't about pay when it comes to u21 players, the wages we were paying Willian could pay for an entire squad of Academy players on what would be considered high wages.

There occasions where the youth players are simply poached by a larger team (like Biereth and Elliot) where I don't place much blame on the club, but we aren't in the Championship anymore so we should be able to compete with Celtic.

If we are looking at Callum Osmand, was it wise to give Carlos Vinicius a spot ahead of him? Maybe he won't pan out, maybe he will become the next Biereth who has been one of the most lethal strikers in Europe this season. I'm a bit anxious that King is already on the way out and that the playing time at the end of the season was a last gambit like with Elliot and Carvalho.
