Quote from: DM on July 07, 2025, 09:06:57 PMDespite how frustrated fans are the club are relaxed about transfers. Unlike previous years Fulham haven't lost key members of the team while others around them have.

Fulham will add players to fit & improve the team.

Relaxed gets you relegated we have massive holes in our starting 11 lack of goals from defence, central midfield, too many soft goals conceded no blocking allowing players to shoot unopposed, no tempo or desire after Christmas conceded late goals way to often

:slap:  Oh yeh, we're staring at relegation.
same attitude when we beat Swansea last game of the season and finished 12th. The very next season, Khan's first, we got relegated.

There is no place for relaxation

Oh come off it.....look at our squad now compared to what was going on behind the scenes back then and reflect we're not in the same position at all. I can often be regarded as the glass half empty pessimist on this board by some, but frankly, people suggesting a) we aren't signing anyone because of some sort of complacency or b) with current squad (heaven forbid we do sign no one) that we'll be finishing in the bottom 3 is quite frankly, absurd. We will sign players. Relax. We have a good squad, with the most settled squad finally getting a full pre season. These are much, much shinier times as a fulham fan......
Look at the team we had and got relegated under Parker being cocky and sentimental gets you relegated. Newcastle have just bought Elanga meaning Forest can now go all in for Malick Fofana . We need a least 5 quality additions .

'Under Parker'....there's ya issue. If you think Silva wouldn't of got more from that squad than Parker managed, I don't know what to say to you pal.

Linked with Omari Hutchinson and Ndidi again, been a while since I saw those. Otherwise pretty quiet.

Quote from: jayffc on July 08, 2025, 09:18:43 AMThe issue is you are assuming cockiness from what? Just because we haven't made a signing yet we're cocky?   Were in negotiations.

In reality the club has stated publically they think we have a good spine (we do) and are now aiming to add real quality in a few key areas. No one's thinking we can just not sign anyone this summer, so this is all just catasrophising and working yourself and others  up over nothing.

Let it play out man. If come end of the window we haven't improved as we said, then we can all moan about it then, but we're in good shape and WILL make more signings when we feel weve reached fair valuations for targets we want. Were in negotiations with different players clearly and have a good starting 11 as it is. Now it's about trying to make that great.

Couldn't agree more.
The only journo who I really believe on Fulham stuff is Rutzler- he stated a few weeks ago exactly who we were in the market for. Now Tete has re-signed, I imagine that list has altered a touch- freeing up more £££s for other signings and again the dominoes begin to fall.

With recent acquisitions, I've no reason to think that Fulham won't get it right again.

Diddly squat.

Perhaps the tea lady at Motspur Park is available for a modest fee.  :slap:

Omari hutchinson is a good little player, one who I could see improving year or year with regular football and good coaching. Still a little raw here and there but definately a talent. Fofana looks like he'll have options able to offer european footy so looks a tough ask that one, but I'd take Hutchinson or Mbangula for sure as great LW options.

LW - Hutchinson/Mbangula/(Nelson?)
CF - Romulo/Arokodare
CM -  Luiz/Rios/Zinchenko/Reitz
+ a backup GK

I'd be pretty excited with any combination of those to be honest.
Without needing an RB anymore, we may only see 4 signings that replace the outgoing Willian, Vini and Nelson  (Unless of course AP, TC and/or Reed depart.)

If we're trying to sign a LW and AP is reportedly wanting to leave then does that mean we're moving Iwobi to the centre?

Nah we need an LW anyway with Willian departing.
Iwobi will always be one capable of playing across the line much like BDR.
We're rumoured to be in for CM's (as above Luiz-Rios-Zinchenko or Reitz all of which can play CM or DM)

Forest have made £40m profit on Elanga. Amazing business by them.

Good business, but he was a key figure in their improvement last season and not easy to replace. He has genuine pace, and it allowed them to play a low block and counter quickly.

Seem to remember we did most/all of our deals when the Khans visited London. Probably something like that will happen again.

Do get the impression our logistical supply chain has more day to day gaps in it than others.

Looks as though there's an AEW event in London on 24th August, sure a few deals will be done around then.

DM

Take every link with a pinch of salt. Fulham do nothing in the public eye until it's almost done.

Would rather see Wilson moved centrally given his exploits there for Wales.

Perfect. Gives our new recruits plenty of time to bed in before the season starts. Oh..

Our season starts on 16th August. I'd be extremely worried if no deals were done before then.

I think this is likely.

Hutchinson no thanks way over rated and way over priced in my opinion we do need a new attacking winger but does he get ahead of Iwobi , Wilson, Traore, Sess. 💯 no from me also have king who is very similar in stature and ability

I expect there will be other deals done before then for sure, but there will probably be a spate around then as usual.

That was the only AEW / NFL thing I could see, imagine they will have other visits before then but I don't know when.

Just remember it did emerge that ESR and Sess happened when Shahid was in town, and I think Berge, Andersen later on in the window too coincided with AEW.

And once again goes to show how much talent goes to waste at Man United!
