I am furious that we may well once again miss out on a good target by dithering.
At this stage you want him or you don't.
If you do then go and get him like other clubs do.
Little bit like when we spent ages weighing up a bid for Gykores from Coventry. The price was £20m which Sporting paid while we counted beans.

It's possible Romulo wants Leipzig more and makes us wait, he would be their starting striker if they sell Benjamin Šeško. Just as Gyokeres wanted Sporting Lisabon only that summer.

Yep. Gyokeres had zero interest in us or anyone else apart from Sporting that summer by all accounts. Wasn't it sorted before we knew Mitro wanted off anyway?

God knows what has been going on with this Romulo situation but there is 100% a logic that he prefers Leipzig as far more likely to start. End of the day no one knows as all behind the scenes but regardless it's defo all the clubs fault of course.  ::thumb::

Hm. Bad karma is waiting for him sooner or later for that Palace/UEFA fiasco.

Yeah considering their FFP issues I don't know how they've all of a sudden got lots of money in theory

With all the outgoings will have removed a tonne of overpaid players. Got to replace a tonne of players as a result however! Perhaps they see Fofana as their one 'marquee' signing. Perhaps £30 odd million is as far as they can stretch however?? £40m+ is crazy amounts considering the business they need to do.

They've lost something crazy in terms of key personnel and the minutes they played last season, so given that they've got to replace all of them, I don't know how they can afford £40m on just one player!

They've made £90 million profit over the last three seasons in the transfer market. The issue was wages, and they shed a load of them.

The minutes played by players lost is about 10,000 (per ChiFFC up the thread) but if you do the maths that's probably 4-5 first team players. We were apparently aiming for a similar number of signings this summer and you'd hope it's not beyond the realm of possibility that we'll spend £35m on one them.

Although of course we wouldn't sign a high-risk, young, non-Arsenal player like Fofana.

Yes we should strive to be like the team that's finished below us and been relegation threatened every season since we've been back in the Prem. They know what do to.

Good point. Because it's logically impossible for a club that was below us last year to now make a good decision, on anything, ever. Silva also said we weren't ever in for Andre last year, and you were right in when you said hardly anyone is signing anyone this year.

Good decision according to who? Someone who lacks footballing knowledge?

Again, both things correct but evidentially above your capacity.

DM

Arsenal rebuffed the 12m offer and want 15m apparently. It'll be interesting to see if Nelson features today.
Loan with option that becomes an obligation if he plays a certain amount of games.

DSTM

DM

Also KDH offer is loan with option but CFC want a sale, the player is Very interested in the move however!
Fulham also looking at a potential new lb apparently

15 IF he hits a certain number of games could still be a very good deal TBF

And KDH is a yes from me too. From interviews he seems someone with the right attitude. Wants to play, point to prove. Yes please , would prefer loan with option, well see where we end up

Does this story have any credibility? Or is it a classic case of several people recycling a rumor?

This and the KDH transfer feels like it could be an ongoing saga for a while.

For a club that supposedly like to do things quietly, it's been in the press for a week or so now and will drag on for a while I imagine.

Yeah to be fair if he can stay fit £15m is fair enough with his stats and you'd imagine Fulham have put in a very significant number of games played to agree to that.

If KDH is keen I like it to but only at the right price if Chelsea won't loan and their request of over £30m is too much. Ideally £25m all in but if Marco really thinks he is the one poss £25m with some add ons.

FFN on Sterling:

"On this yes there is a possibility that CFC let Sterling come to us for the last 2yrs of his deal with them paying the vast majority of his wages if they can't sell him.

Even doing this would save them in excess of 10m"

If Chelsea are going to give Sterling to us for two years and pay all but £100k of his wages absolute no brainer for me to take that. Can play either side and 10 goals and 11 assists in 30 games of playing time in 23/24. How many players who have apparently lost it has Marco turned around?! Even if he doesn't two years of that wage and no fee is next to no risk if we can somehow pull that off.

The big clubs almost never do anything quietly. Bet most of its coming from the Arsenal and Chelsea ends. Only really public one last year was ESR prob for the same reason.

FFN saying the same thing just to back this up. Know he is speaking to the reporter that is travelling with Arsenal:

"The Nelson fee is £15m loan with option that becomes an obligation if conditions are met. Clubs close to a deal now. Be interesting to see if he plays today."

My mate who's Leeds ITK claims Muniz to Leeds for 38 mil is a done deal pending we find a replacement.
Muniz happy to go to Leeds as he will be out and out first choice striker and won't get that at Fulham

This seems pretty far fetched to me.
We already need 1 striker that would mean a move for 2 and Muniz has been Marcos man

Feel like a fulham ITK would know this and have dropped that news if it were the case

so we are letting him go when we are a striker down already and replacing 2 strikers with 1,sorry just don't buy it.

Yep. I mean maybe if we feel that money can bring in two quality strikers....but if I'm a betting man, I'm thinking Muniz will sign a new contract shortly.
