Wouldn't mind us being one of the club's in for him. Scored 13 goals last season in a struggling wolves team and could be the ideal replacement for when Raul leaves.

Update :misread the stats only 2 goal last season but 13 the season before.

KentFulham

He is a player not shy about having a poke from outside the box

Twig

I'd love us to be in for him. Could create a problem as to who starts though, he's way more than just a Vini replacement!

Hello everyone, I don't often clock in on the transfer treadmill of disillusionment pages, Only as the season starts do I look and see who we might possibly be interested in as we usually begin just in the few days before our first game and then transfer deadline day. I actually though I was on the wrong page though a moment ago when I looked! so can someone in the know please put a list here of anyone realist we may possibly buy and who could improve our team as I can't be bothered to troll back to the last page that actually mentioned someone. Thanks in advance. Have a great day people.

Agree - The sooner it happens the better, these clowns are really hampering the club

If SCR is the issue then it isn't going away by new owners coming in.

Why not? An owner and manager with proper scouting? Brining younger talented players in, selling for decent profit, improving team, moving up the league, knowing when to sell, gaining position and Europe all of which individually or together increase revenue. Brentford, Brighton, Forrest and Bournemouth are examples of teams who have done a mixture of some of the above, they appear to be spending well off this. Isn't SCR an issue because it's an issue of our own making in lack of the above

MS and Board have just played safe to survive and that's it, we build to survive to one season in front of us, nothing more. This is one reason we have the oldest squad in the PL. They lack ambition, forward thinking, desire to take risk, grow etc.

Someone will know doubt say "But we had our highest ever points" it's true, but it gained 11th four places down versus our previous highest points place! UTD, Spurs, West Ham etc finished below but are building a strong return, we are not.

15th/16th is on the cards, let's hope they do not relegate us

While I don't share the view regards Silvas complicity, think the Khans are clowns or consider there to be a risk of relegation this season, some valid points are made here. And I would suggest just because they are 'negative' doesn't mean they should be ignored

Most posters tend to suggest 'we all know we need to recruit younger players and we will'. But the thing is, we're not. And as long as that remains the case I think the rest of Kentfulhams criticism is fair

Sesko has signed for united, guess we will see if Leipzig go for Romulo or look elsewhere.

Yeah if he doesn't go there pretty quickly a strange one as not been anything on him for ages. You can only assume he and Leipzig were just waiting for Sesko to go. Hope not as really wanted him but not looked likely as guessing he just wants Leipzig where he'll likely start you would have though mt now. 😔

This whole thread should be called the Misery transfer thread.
We have 7 days still .think another striker that comes in is the main one that needs to be done.

There have been rumours about them going for Fabio Silva, so it isn't guaranteed. If they look elsewhere the waiting game may pay off but we will see.

They apparently wanted Hojlund as a part of the deal but he wasn't keen, so they're not married to signing Romulo yet.

Although you are being fair minded, a post such as the one above yours is discouraging reasonable discussion. I would say this is why his views are tending to be ignored. In my opinion, Kent is the architect of this situation.

Top links:
Reiss Nelson (loan) - in talks with Arsenal as per very reliable sources, been dragging on for a while though
Kevin - bid £30m with add ons taking it closer to £40m but Shaktar rejected it, an exciting link at the very least and shows there is money to spend
Chukwueze - once again interested in a loan with option as we were in January on deadline day

Other links at the moment:
Sterling
Zinchenko
Taremi
Sadiq

At the moment we haven't and don't seem to be able to. Let's be a bit more grounded in these things. We'd struggle to sign a cat at the moment.

Silva saying he is hoping for 3-4 new players before the season starts. Goes contrary to the BBC article.

Good luck with that...
No one will arrive until the Brighton game.

4 signings in 6 days?

I'll believe it when it happens.

Whether one transfer arrives before Brighton, who knows? However I doubt even the greatest optimist would expect 3-4! Given our track record I would expect at least one or two to come on on September 1st.

Quote from: Angus Telford on August 09, 2025, 08:37:03 AMWell infer that if we accepted offers around £60m each for King/Bassey/AR/Muniz and replaced most of them with a month of the window still remaining with more foreign-market young players using a model that had recruited very successfully up to now, yielding a transformative net profit in the process, as you described, then yes, I'd be very much ok with that.
No, that's not really the scenario I described.

WindyCity

With some of this silly discussion about MS leaving, a few comments about MS.  I do think he is a very good coach, and has shown that he can get the most out of players and compete against top clubs.  THAT SAID, I also think he has room for improvement!  He still needs to learn how to close out games.  FFC dropped a lot of points (maybe most in the league?) from leading positions.  And dropping points late in games was a huge frustration.  MS needs to get his player choices and selections better in this regard, and gather points when they are available to the club.
