Wasn't Manor Solomon also a mensicus injury? He was out from pre-season until about January time. I guess there are different grade injuries but we'd need to be well aware of the risks. It could be helpful that our medical team treated Solomon already.

If I had to guess, I think the deal will happen. Shakhtar usually quotes high, but is willing to negotiate this a bit less than 50 million. It's part of their reputation to let the players (especially Brazilians) move on.

Will see where this one goes, injury does concern me but he does look insanely talented. 50M also sounds steep but he looks rapid, crazy good 1v1, incredibly gifted technically and like he understands the game well.

Now this is a x-factor kind of player we need to make step up to the European cups, I believe.

If it's just as an upgrade backup on vini because other younger options we like enough to spend out on aren't available at fair cost, or interested in coming here this summer, then he's a decent option for a couple years with this possibly being rauls last year here.

If the club believes in Muniz being our main starter then might not make sense to blow crazy budget here this year. I wonder if a player like Romulo looks at our starting squad and sees a tougher route to starting minutes than at say Leipzig.

The Kevin link is promising, although that is tempered by the knee issue, if it is a meniscus then we have to be vary cautions.

Taremi is ok but I'd prefer someone say 26-28 so we don't have 2 30+ strikers and a 22 year old. Jus5 a personal preference.

The one link I can't get behind is Zinchencko, been off the pace since his last season at City, and when Arsenal have played him in midfield he looks terrible. Ok there for Ukraine for sure but international football is different to the pace of the premier league.

I can see the logic of Taremi or Sadiq. The one I can't fit into this plan is Pepi. If (and it's a big IF) we bid £30 mill where would he fit in. Romulo would be great forwarding planning too.

Yeah I don't think anyone really is 100% sure what this injury is. I was reading on meniscus last night. Depending on on the injury can be 4 to 6 weeks up to about 6 months from what I could see. Recurrence risk around 5% to 8%. Very dependant on the exact tear and location and the age of the player with younger being better of course. We're not paying that kind of money for someone who's going to be out for 6 months so if it is a meniscus must be a 4 to 6 week job. Or perhaps the reports are wrong and it's just a slight hammy strain or something. Have to see but surely it's something on the more minor side that we are confident about if proceeding. One thing is for sure...I'll be excited if we get a here we go but I won't be counting chickens until the Fulham medical is done.

Totally agree, having had torn meniscus took ages to be able to walk or bend knee, and will never be the same high risk of recurrence, I understand player probably receiving best treatment available and considerably younger/fitter  than me but even a young co worker who damaged his meniscus and had a 100% successful op admits he will never play 11 a side again or any sport that requires a lot of sudden stopping, twisting and turning.

As Drewry alludes, it depends of course entirely on the severity, location of the injury, the recovery process and the individual. It's certainly something to pay close attention to and I'd assume our club doctors will taking a close look at it.

Well if any of this is true. We will need to replace him with two strikers. Jimenez has been playing all Summer for his Country so it just makes no sense for this to go ahead. If it happens then even I will find it hard to defend. Unless some great shock is incoming that isn't injury plagued or 58 with a limp.

To be fair even Solomon played a full season in the championship last year I believe after 2 nightmare years. It can however be a nightmare injury so not belittling the risk but as I popped in a post above recurrence rates of 5% to 8% on average and if they have assessed and a low grade tear you would think may be lower than this. All pure conjecture so see what happens.

If Muniz goes for £35m we must be crazy... where are we able to find a replacement for anywhere near that money - of the level of Muniz?
There are not many out there and those that are will be in the £40m/£45m bracket - and that's for a non-Prem proven striker.
It's madness.
