Damn

That's a real shame, been a growing dislike seeing forest under this slimy owner and his shady dealings improving. Feels off.

Expect them to be significantly better than last year with this spate of transfers

Now our turn to improve with some key signings🤞

Damn

That's a real shame

Them fluking Europe gives them pull.

They're still a terribly run club, everyone loves the idea of their owner overpaying for everything, breaking the rules, etc.

It's all going to end in tears.

Everyone is all over the place like cellulite on a rollercoaster in regards to Muniz....................meanwhile Pereira didn't have to warm up or even put his boots on
If it wasn't for the medication I,d be chewing on your skin

Tricky one with AP, now down the pecking order but we missed the boat in selling for a decent fee

From BBC transfer gossip,

Fenerbahce are set to sign Arsenal and Ukraine full-back Oleksandr Zinchenko, 28.

Good pick up in that league. Shame if we were ever really interested, potential champs league playing for mourinho.

Wonder if or who well go for at CM 🤔. if we bring in 3-4 more players more good players slip off it until injuries hit.

Question is who:

Reed for sure.
Then Cairney?
Then AP?
+ Cuenca probably once Robinson is back.

then our third striker battles it out to get into the squad or waits for an injury

A pity really - I was warming to the idea. We have all said Sess is better going forward than at LB and with his injury concerns and Robinson being out, another experienced option for LB that can also play in midfield to compete with Berge and Lukic would have been a sensible move in my view if only short term. It's going to be tough to qualify for Europe this year if there are only 7 places (assuming Spurs and United won't surely be as bad as last year). We need to get us into the European conversation to be able to attract the better players. Hopefully we will get some bodies in before the end of the window that will help take us forward.

Don't think this could be further from the truth IMO. They hedged their bets when they came up four years ago (yes some signings a bit scattergun and a marginal rule breach) but the team coming up in 3rd hardly ever stays up (as we know) so it was understandable. Since then, they've generally just signed good young players, and found/stuck with a good manager. People will say they've overpaid on Hutchinson but conversely Igor Jesus is being tipped as one of the bargains of the summer. Don't think overall they get any worse value than we did on our big signings last summer, and by buying young they at least get lower wages and resale optionality.

Thing is

If we bring in Kevin AND Nelson...Sess could struggle to get gametime on the wings at all.i liked the fact he can play cm or lb but more I've thought about it. Sess best chance at minutes is there really.

Also linked to Arikadore, which is interesting given he was rumoured as one we were interested in

Gotta say I don't love how public this "Kevin's agents are coming to long next week" stuff is, feels like the doors being left open for others to gazump"...keeping all fingers crossed and Silvas had a word thats got Kevin excited about our prospects here

Reed has been far from the starting lineup ever since Lukic got going in the 23/24 season. I can't recall any genuinely good performances from Reed since then and we should be looking at upgrading in that position. Lukic and Berge are decent PL players but neither are in the bracket of Robinson, Mitro or Palhinha where they were/are verging on world class. Cairney offers something different, but neither him or Reed are really close to pushing them for a starting position so they are nailed on starters whenever they're available. Lukic is also going to be missing a fair few games due to picking up yellows as will Berge to a lesser extent so there is a need for quality behind him and Berge.

AP also seems a bit lost now with the emergence of King, so it might be prudent to move him on. Especially from AP's point of view as he won't keep getting called up for Brazil sitting on the bench.

I think both would have suitors as well. AP has been looked at by clubs for the last couple of windows and Reed would be a good option for teams pushing for promotion in the championship.

@jolslover

I think upgrading on Reed and bringing in a more creative CM to challenge Lukic and Berge is a must

Absolutely crucial for me but no real rumours apart from Zinchenko and Luiz and both going elsewhere. We know they are trying to find one so just hoping it's a Fulham out of the blue special.

If we are getting two new wingers in we should also be looking at moving one of Traore or Wilson on. Silva wants to have 5 wingers in the squad (failing to get another one on top of Nelson is why Godo wasn't sent out on loan as planned last season) but they are both on their last year of contract and nearing 30.

Kevin looks like a top target for the wing, which I am fairly pleased with. A bit pricey but he has the potential to be a game changer. Nelson has major question marks about fitness as well as possible wage demands, but if the physios think they can get him to fitness he could be an asset.

Taremi is the only link to replace Vinicius afaik, which I'm not wild about but it isn't a huge deal. Would prefer someone that is up and coming for that position.

I agree that a CM is a must. All the ones we've been linked to this window have moved elsewhere, wonder if there will be someone pulled out of the hat towards the end of the window but I have a feeling there won't be.

Agreed

And get Muniz tied down, get Kevin done

Said on another thread, enough is enough, AM and TK need to start doing their jobs this week. They've had a nice three month holiday, now the football's back.

FFC007

An upgrade on Reed is a must. If Lukic gets injured, and when he probably gets a ban later on in the season for yellow cards accumulating, we need someone who has a bit of bite and steel in there.
