linked to Brighton and Flamengo last year allegedly

Looks good here, I like the move. Looks fast/skilful and like his versatility of being able to play anywhere along the front 3 + attacking mid.
Would be a more creative signing than we tend to make however

Hopefully no bargain basement dross.

Noticed both TK and SK were in the ground this week and clearly talking to Marco and Muniz about things. Marco wasn't anywhere to be seen on the video in training for the first day, so hopefully they're having some productive conversations and getting stuff done finally.

the ITK guy on discord server mentioned it and shared a text he had from his contact saying Soler is 'one to watch'.

I wonder where on our list of targets he came. Definitely not first tier, which I'd imagine included Kevin, Nelson and Sterling etc etc.

It's on the Discord group mate. FFN sent a message he had been sent by someone. Assuming a journo. Says Silva really likes him. The contact said not one he can say 'publicly' but what he has heard. Who knows if any truth to it.

Not saying he isn't good, but everyone looks like TurboMaradona in their own YouTube montages.

Wonder if this has surfaced as Kevin proving to be too costly? €50m+ does sound a bit steep tbh. That said, Shakhtar have raked in some huge transfer fees in the last few years.

They don't really though. I couldn't turn Harrison Reed into a creative midfield with great passing ability on a comp or make Adama look like a winger that will grab 15 goals a season. Appreciate a comp can gloss over inconsistency but the moments highlighted all actually happened.

Again not that I am saying he is good (I just said he looked good from the comp) but the fact Brighton bid for him fills me with confidence as there scouting is usually spot on

Fulham weigh up move for Basel winger Otele

Fulham are exploring a move for FC Basel winger Philip Otele before deadline day.

The Cottagers have looked at multiple players and have recently sent scouts while asking for the conditions about what it would take to sign the 26-year-old from the Swiss Super League club.

Otele is believed to be available for about £15m and is a cheaper option to other targets like Arsenal's Reiss Nelson and Shakhtar's Kevin.

The Nigerian has two goals and two assists in the Swiss top flight this season having played in Lithuania, Romania and UAE. He also had a trial at Arsenal at the age of 14.

Negotiations for Kevin are not believed to have progressed this week as Shakhtar continue to hold out for over £43m. It remains unclear whether the Ukrainian club are willing to negotiate.

Atalanta hold interest in Rodrigo Muniz, who is valued highly at Craven Cottage.

13 G/A in half a season (18 games after returning in January) not to be sniffed at, albeit in an inferior league. Started this season there will too.

Not the blockbuster Kevin move but who knows what's really going on behind the scenes I suspect that one goes right to the wire. As for BBC report - the stuff about Kevin doesn't sound like anything based in direct fact, more interpretation given we haven't had any further news.

Fact they mention atlanta being interested  Muniz shows they aren't exactly on the pulse with the latest rumours

No offence to Otelee but he's 26 and the best league he's played in is the Swiss league. A career tha goes Lithuania-Romania-UAE-Switzerland at a quoted price of £15m seems a bit silly, I'd rather risk it on Nelson because at least we know he's got it at this level. EVen Mbabu looked good in Switzerland

It's a balance between someone with EPL experience, but a sick-note v a Swiss league player, with a good Goals per minutes ratio ....
Luckily it's a headache for someone else...

Bloody hell, thats some tragic decline in player. This has gone from buying players top down, from buying players bottom up......

According to Wikipedia, his first club was actually Wolviston FC, a non league club just outside Middlesbrough, in 2017-2019.

People are always complaining we don't make signings of rough diamonds like Brighton, Bournemouth etc...

I don't think those clubs are looking at 26 year olds as well though mate is the point.

Exactly.
I mean it's not that old either but it does feel like we're nigh on incapable of finding or signing players who haven't peaked yet and will actually get better at Fulham.
Yes Bassey and Muniz but that's a rate of one every couple of years when really 70-80% of our signings should fall into that bracket.

Otelee......Jeeeeez what on earth is going on.

I'm less focused on signing young players than perhaps you were as a business model, and do think signing established players etc. but this is different so agree. We were looking at Kevin, right age profile, investment for future with sell on ability. But this guy at 26 with only Swiss league to his name at that sort of age feels so C Listy to me.

Maybe im just negative as I'm dieting, but this window just seems to get worse and worse.

It's the media not Fulham, I don't know why people get so bothered about something that hasn't happened.
