It's now obvious that the names we are being linked with Sterling, Chukwueze, Nelson, Dewsbury-Hall(now gone) all at big clubs, we are hoping to get on loan, where a partial cost of the wage is covered, view the bring in permanent next summer when some high earners like Adama, Cairney, Pereira, Jiminez etc are gone

That's why the only reported bids have gone in Kevin, Romulo, Pepe who will cost a fee but wages will be a lot lower.

Are we really this broke? €4m per year is €77k/week which is £66.5k/week. That doesn't sound like a lot when we're paying Raul over £100k/week. If that's too much then surely we're not going to be able to afford Sterling or any other biggish name signing this season.

Im wondering if we are actively not signing players early just so we can avoid paying for that extra month. Ridiculous, I know but makes you wonder

No, he DEMANDS. He is still on his first contract which he signed at 17 so his wage is something like 20k a week. A bit like Muniz.

But he was starting matches before Amorim came in

However I was wrong. His contract expired in 2027. Not 2026.

But yeah, they offered him a new contract in March and turned them down.
Fulham is simply not an option
