At the respective quoted prices, I'd rather get Nelson than Chukwueze.

Why? We could pay £15m for Nelson for his hammy to blow up again in October and before you know it he's missed 20+ games this season. Don't get me wrong I'd have him back, but I wouldn't pay an 8 digit sum for someone that I'm thinking is going to miss on average 30%+ of every season. Chuku was electric for Villareal, okay he's not done great at Milan but they've also been a basket case for a few seasons now so he strikes me as the sort of player that'll thrive in a lower pressure environment, especially since he's going to know Iwobi & Bassey so integration to the squad will be pretty easy

Because his output is better than Chukwueze, because we don't know he'll get injured again, because he knows the squad and manager, because he's a cheaper purchase, because he's younger, because he's friends with the squad.. because, because, because..

His injury history for the last six seasons, in terms of total games missed:

24/25: 27
22/23: 17
21/22: 12
20/21: 16
19/20: 20

You could deploy wishful thinking and assume he won't get injured again which would defy logic, but in every season where he's actually played games, he's ended up with a moderately severe injury every time

He's still got a better record than Chukwueze though.. perhaps we should just go all in on Sterling then?

Better record in what respect? Because if you're on about goals/assists, then Chuku has more? Nelson has 76 G/A in his career, 36 of which were in youth football

He has only been there for two seasons for starters (unless you're including this season). But I shared it earlier, something you seem to conveniently ignored.

He also scored 8 and got 6 assists for Milan in two seasons (might as well include cups since you included a goal against Preston for Nelson) that ads up to 6 per season or roughly 3 per 600 minutes. That isn't brilliant but it is the same numbers you're quoting as good for Nelson.

For reference, the most goals + assists that Nelson has managed in any season is 8 (and that was 7 years ago).

Arsenal: 0.44
Fulham: 0.47
Feyenoord: 0.64
Hoffenheim (his good season where he hit a real purple patch but it was for a grand total of 770 minutes): 0.93

Fulham acquired Traore without any transfer fee; if you believe someone would pay 20 million for him, you might be overestimating his value.

It was the Nottingham Forest sporting director that stopped that transfer, which is what caused Nuno to have a fit. Not sure why you're acting like we rejected the offer.

So we are looking at 4 incoming players then if Andreas leaves.

I saw something online about us being linked with Hayden Hackney, perhaps he is the Andreas replacement.

If we sign, Kevin, Mainoo, Sterling and Hayden that would be a pretty impressive end to the window. Through Jamie Vardy in as a free transfer and I would be very happy. It will be an interesting few days - I'm sure the club will get it right.
