Summer Silly Season Transfer Thread 2025

If people had to rate Kevin, Chukwueze, Bakwa, Nelson, Sterling from who you most want to who you least want what order would you put them in?  for me below

Kevin, Bakwa, Chukwueze, Nelson, Sterling

Last three all pretty close though, but Kevin and Bakwa would be my two favourites, also two most expensive though.

To be honest I think I'm happy with any of them, Sterling probably my least favourite of the options

For me and this is based purely on there career goals assists to minutes

1.Stirling 197 goals, 122 assists in 45381 minutes - Left & Right
2.Nelson 51 goals, 29 assists in 11691 minutes - Right & Left
3.Kevin 16 goals, 10 assists in 4202 minutes - Left
4.Otele 56 goals, 16 assists in 12950 minutes - Left
5.Chukwuese 53 goals, 35 assists in 18045 minutes - Right
6.Bakwa 18 goals, 26 assists in 9226 minutes - Right & Left

Stirlings stats and experience and versatility on both wings makes him a no brainer IF we can make the package affordable

Not sure where you've got the G/A for them from but they're not accurate as far as I can tell - you've also included Nelson's goals/assists in academy football because he's actually got 76 G/A in his career, 36 of which were in the PL2 or youth leagues which skews his stats quite heavily

Got them from footystats.org but guess your stats are better than theirs, will get them from you next time

To be fair, Brentford have won 2 of their first 3 games and look alright

They were about as bad as I've ever seen in their first game.
This from a Brentford fan after their win v Bournemouth " That's two results in a row that have rather flattered the Bees. I'm still concerned that over the full season their luck will even out and it could be a nail-biting end to avoid relegation. But if we do, then it's still an incredible achievement!"

This seems like it would be some FFP shenanigans, don't see why they'd be willing to pay that much for Godo.

They overpay for Godo and we pay a high fee for one of their players? Like Vladiachomos and Anderson or Maatsen and Kellyman.

This seems like it would be some FFP shenanigans, don't see why they'd be willing to pay that much for Godo.

They overpay for Godo and we pay a high fee for one of their players? Like Vladiachomos and Anderson or Maatsen and Kellyman.

Strasbourg are unfortunately owned by our friends down the road at that lot, part of me thinks that might be a decent shout, considering they're probably looking for us to do them a favour and take Sterling off them

Maybe though £5-6m is not a huge sum for promising young winger from a prem club. Was very good in his last loan spell. In the high side for sure but not obscene

They paid E7m for a 19-y-o from Southampton earlier this summer (they got him on loan in January), so that amount sounds about right.

If we went in for Mainoo, Kevin, Chukwueze and Hackney, we could ship out Harrison Reed to compensate. If another winger appears it would be a very good, if last minute window.

Mainoo would be a seriously good upgrade on Reed, if the finances are there.

And probably the overinflated fee would cover Sterlings wages for a loan period whilst keeping in FFP legislation.

Godo isn't a €7m player..  not yet.
