Let's say the difference was 5m just for arguments sake... Also let's say there's 30,000 seats at CC. Would you pay an extra £150 a year on your seat so that Tony can splash the cash like some of the clubs?

Just to play Devil's Advocate for a second...
Waiting until the final day to do transfers, can offer some good financial savings if the selling club need to free up a space in their squad...
They could well be more willing to accept a more realistic value for the player they want to sell...
This season, prices have been absolutely mental... 😱
There is some merit in holding your nerve...
Just another view  ::wink::  ::scarf::

Quote from: ElRay on August 31, 2025, 10:33:10 AMCautiously optimistic about the Kevin deal. Thought that would be the one to fall through and we'd end up with a rushed deadline day loan I.e Sterling

Tho it seems the journalists seem a little coy with the wording so could still be a hiccup like West Ham jumping in if Paqueta goes
Kevin is easily the most exciting player we've been linked with this summer. I dont know if he can make the step up to The Big League, but I cant help but feel that if we dont sign him and end up with Sterling/Chuku it would be deeply underwhelming

Chuku will be a good signing according to my friend who supports Milan. Will get bums out of seats for sure. Agree about Sterling though.

Quote from: demeant0r on August 31, 2025, 10:44:02 AMSo Chuk is a loan, why did I think it would be a perm?

Keep getting different reports about this. Seems to be a loan with an obligation from the latest but seems like the obligation will very likely be triggered whatever it is as the ways it's reported sounds like they are convinced Milan are getting money.

Yeah, looks like it is an obligation which means we're likely going to trigger it. Let's hope he is good.

25% sell on fee ooof that might come back to hurt us. It will be an exciting signing though

Could be a way to move that fee to next year and have more Left for a signing now. As even of we trigger the obligation early it will be due on a certain date for payment surely

We have a legal contract here that is full of details and private stipulations. But naturally we will release all the figures and all the details to the press.

The above IS NOT A LEGAL DOCUMENT. It is an opinion.

We may yet hear the horse talk.

I can stand my own despair but not others hope

The club already charge the most expensive prices in the whole league, so it's a bit of a mute point that they need to charge more in order to compete.

Bournemouth's stadiums capacity is only 12,000 or so... Nottingham Forest's if apparently less than 1,000 more than Craven Cottage. Palace's stadium, Brentford's stadium, are both smaller than us and in London. Brighton's is just over 1,000 more than us.

Brentford have already spent £90m+ this summer.. Brighton have spent between £60-£70m, Forest have spent well over £100m.

The logic you're pursuing or asking us to entertain is simply a fallacy logic, it's not grounded in reality. I appreciate the point you wanted to make, but it's just not practically true to need to follow that logic, you've made it up.

We're gonna cook. Chuku stats are excellent as well as is his return for goals and assists when looking at mins played. The below around King and hopefully some better service to Muniz. So exciting (finally)!!

Could this be the beginning of the end for Iwobi? I think quite possibly. Unless he can be converted into an 8.

They also sold key players beside forest whomjusy seem to ignore any finance rules

Agreed.

Really good signing... but probably only about 30-40% of what we expected at the start of the window.

And €40m plus 25% sell-on really can't be far, if at all, below what they'd have accepted several weeks ago. Highest number is saw in any report was €50m but that's literally their opening gambit, not the lowest they'd have accepted. 40m plus 25% is essentially 50m.

Might be because they wanted €50m for him but we've offered less and given 25% to compensate. I agree it could come back to hurt us but if he becomes a £100m player then we've made a sizeable profit regardless.

Rumours have been going on for some time. Might be some truth. I will say no more. Mainly because I have no idea but want to sound mysterious and ITK.

South Coast White

According to Fabrizio Romana Fulham have made enquiries this morning for Tyrique George.

I know we need a left winger so should be excited about Kevin but I'm actually more looking forward to getting Chukwueze in the building. A real Boa Morte exciting talent who will chip in with plenty of goals.

I wonder if Traore will move on (he's been kept out the side twice now by Castagne) or if he will stay as part of Silvia's 5 wingers.

Looks extremely light weight, also don't think we should be helping Chelsea out by giving their youth stars experience unless it's an obligation to buy.

Defo. Think Chukwueze could do as well. As above statistically they are almost identical. This is really good:

Also think we might cash in on Adama now and get Stirling on top of these two as he can also be a back up striker. I know Adama has moments and crossing and assists good last season but if we can get £10m now and Chelsea pay all but £100k for Sterlings wages for a year loan I personally think this would make a lot of sense.
