£22 million - this is why leaving signings to the last minute is bad business never mind poor  organisation. Little EPL experience (10 appearances) and average ability at best.
Only positive is he lowers the average age of the squad.

Have you seen what Chelsea have been selling some of their kids at

Creative accountancy springs to mind.

I would bet on it being the case!

He is a great super sub

I agree. I think he's class.

Bassey the warrior

I did say we'd sign someone completely out of the blue, step up Tyrique George.

His speed for starters. By far the fastest player in the league. Someone like Chukwueze or George is fast, but nowhere near Traore. His crossing is probably the best in the squad too.

Not the fastest in the league anymore - in fact he didn't even clock a top 5 speed last season. The bigger issue for me is that he comes on and looks like he can't be arsed

This just isn't true, sorry. The fastest player in the league is Micky van de Ven, surprisingly. Adama not even in the top 5, but he is top 5 for % of games walking. https://www.premierleague.com/en/news/4272290

Bronaldinho

Traore's contribution probably can't be overlooked - 9GA in 36 apps last year, one of our highest contributors.

Not always a starter too, but his pace is a big asset of making space in the last third of the game.

if we eare thinking of releasing either Adama or Wilson we should definitely still try and get Nelson ..I cant believe he would choose Brentford over us ..(unless we have screwed him around all summer)

Bring Mitro back and I'd be very happy with this window. Feel sad for Wilson as he's always played for the badge and done his best but Chuck and Stirling would be a huge upgrade on Wilson and Traore.

Surely Marco will not sanction this.

FFC007

Chelsea will be gutted that Sterling is still on the books at £325k smackeroonies a week...

Agreed.
Can't believe I'm the most positive about George. Think he's a real talent, and the youngest first team player we've signed since 2015!!

I think that's exactly what's going on. Both sides getting pure profit.

Quote from: SerbianLad on September 01, 2025, 03:13:04 PMWilson off could mean we get all three. That being said why on earth would we get rid of Wilson and get George in...
Because Wilson is 28 and about to turn 29, and if we don't sell now our options are losing him for nothing or probably giving him a 3 year £60/70K+ a year contract.

It's exactly the kind of business we should be doing with players who aren't important starting XI players (yes Wilson scores a good amount of goals, but his broader play isn't consistently effective in Silva's system).

Same as Wilson, would be a poor decision too. Traore is a great option to have in the squad, as he's got a unique skill set that you can't replace.

Would be fine if we're bringing in George, Chukuweze and Kevin
