Marco has said we have been shy on players before Jan 2025 window.

Since then we have seen the following players exit >-
Willian
Godo
Pereira
Stansfield
Benda
Vinicius
Nelson
Wilson ??
Adama ??

Incoming:-
Kevin
Chuckwueze
George
Lecompte

I think the squad is still very light on numbers. I appreciate there is some relief to get any transfers in but it's not enough.

Confirmed by Peter as in for Bayern kid

Suprising to me that it's striker and not CM we're focussed on but this kid is certainly exciting. Perhaps we do see more of Iwobi/King/ESR in the CM role this year.

Got to be better than having Broja..

I'm doing my part.
I took the 500/1 on offer of no significant signing before 400 pages of this thread? Shilling e-way

Sounds like Bayern kid is coming!
He looks absolute quality on loan, no option but still!

Without an option to buy means we're just improving their youth for little advantage.

Moussa Dembele the 3rd

Quote from: DevonFFC on September 01, 2025, 06:33:40 PMNeed a box to box midfielder who can pass forward and doesn't poo themselves when they get within 15yds off the opposition box and then play it back to our cb, who then I turn plays it back to Leno.

They way things are heading it may be that Iwobi and Sessegnon are in the frame for this.

Also we've been playing a lot with 5 at the back recently since we have a surplus of excellent center backs. The need for more defensive midfielders might not be a top priority. Although I agree I wish we had some more dynamism in the center of the park.

Kevin never, ever wanted to go to Sporting. His agent was using it as a way to try bump up his deal.

So we are signing 3 wingers(when we really need 2 at most) and a striker(useful to have a 3rd option, but not absolutely necessary), while there is no midfielder signing.

So, if any of these players officially become our players when do we think Marco will think they are ready to actually play?

After,
This international window?
The next?
Christmas?

Iwobi is going to be a CM now and we don't need him as a winger, so in a way it removes a need for him to be a winger

Not sure it's his best position, particularly in our system. Makes no sense to me.

Great that we've got an international break.

Think most will be on bench next game - then start against cambridge in the cup maybe
