4/10. Didn't deliver on the wishes of one of our best managers and have likely further antagonised him, chance of Silva signing a new deal minimal now IMO. Squad is now thinner in midfield, unchanged up top and in defence, improved on the wings.

Willing to improve to a 5.5/10 if Chuk and Kevin get 10 goals and 10 assists combined.

Look, whichever way we want to paint this, this wasn't a good window and I really do hope the recruitment committee get the book thrown at them.

There comes a point when all this last minute (and even beyond the last minute) fannying around really does not do us any favours at all. It looks untidy, unplanned and, worse of all, unprofessional.

As a club we need a better, strategic and more-joined up approach to transfer activity. What we have had this window has been (looking from the outside in) nothing short of chaotic.

Get targets in early next time.

Khans out, Mackintosh out. Had enough of this transfer nonsense every window and paying through the nose for it.

Maybe Silva pulled plug on the 2x youngsters and wanted to keep Wilson.

That would fit the usual pattern & maybe the division between manager & board.

Really happy with Kevin. Shame we've left clear gaps in our squad again though. Just got to hope we don't get injuries.

George deal off.

Yep, it's fair enough to criticise doing everything last minute if that is a player the club really wanted.

That's the thing. As I mentioned not sure we could have done much about Chuckwuaze or Kevin as their clubs were never letting them go until the end of last week.

George however could have been done ages ago surely.

Having said that...it looks like this was all linked to the Wilson move. Just wonder if it was only when Leeds came in with an offer to good to turn down that we then went looking for a third winger hence being late on this one? Just a thought as did seem to be facilitating Wilson's move.
No players are unavailable until late in the window. If we really wanted Chuku earlier - we should have shown determination and gone for him a month ago and completed the deal, just like every other club. Its just us holding out for other options and going in for the kill late. We chose to do this, and suffer the consequences. Simple.

Widely reported that Milan weren't letting him go until they had a replacement. Even had to sit on the bench the other day until the replacement cleared. Can't make them sell him.

Striker and CM I'm pissed off about however. Had all window to fill 4 positions and filled 2. If George had come in and Iwobi had moved to 8 just about fair enough but with that off Iwobi may still be needed on the wing. Two good players in yes but defo laving too much this late has now stuffed us.

Quote from: KentFulham on September 01, 2025, 09:01:53 PMI dont particually see it as a great window, we need all 4 signing to happen, its a real shame we left it so late that they missed pre season and three games in, it is not a great way to hit the ground running. It is what it is, and it is standard TK

So unlike of you to be negative...

Not negative, just realistic, 2 deals falling through with no time left in the window is just sloppy
Agreed. It doesnt matter if people on here dont want George as the club obviously wanted him but fcuked around all summer and now we have to lay in the bed we maid

SerbianLad

What if we negotiated the deal for George in case one of Kevin/Chukwueze deal fell through or if we negotiated it to put pressure on their clubs?

Surlyc

Our usual lack of strategy/vision coming back to bite us today.

Says a lot when most will give this window 4-6/10, given we have broken our transfer record.

Anyone would think we were the only ones dealing today. Lots of deals gone through but lots of clubs have seen deals collapse. Just the way of the world these days so get used to it.

Bronaldinho

Kevin and Chuk are very good moves.

The other two George and Asare, arent too much of a loss as not starters.

Very short in CM and up front. A couple of injuries in either position and we're in huge trouble

demeant0r

So is it just Kev and Chuk? Seems like the two youngsters are not coming?

Wow, wonder what that means for him - will they have to pay it off or will he really forego his massive contract.

I was joking - its been rumoured though.

Piss poor preparation = piss poor performance and this summed up Fulham.

As I said before, these two flair players paper over a sh1t transfer window.

Lack of squad depth, no back up striker and no no.8.

The reason for this lack of ambition I don't know but we can all have our guesses
