Yeah it's really odd that we seem to get one per window isnt it - it's nice for moments like this where it looks like we do have some hope, but I don't know why someone at the club feels the need to do it, rather than fronting up to it for better or worse

Yeah I lurk on there using xcancel to bypass needing an account, as I don't like the platform, but useful for news. I just check white noise.

To be fair this makes infinitely more sense than earlier, a small amount of credit to the club for fighting to get the permanent option in there because he's tipped to have a good career, and if we like what we see in the next 10 months it could be an unreal bit of scouting

Josh King is going to dip lads, he is not the megastar that some think he is just yet.   I hope that he becomes that but its a way off yet.

Well that makes sense then. Was a very weird move otherwise. If it has an option to buy(a reasonable one that is), then I really hope it goes through. Still I'd give this window a 7/10, as we didn't get a midfielder that I think we definitely needed.

Do you think bringing in two wingers opens up more options for Iwobi to play in the 8. A particular weakness I've noticed is when we put Iwobi in the MF the wings are so week, but now it's less the case.

I've commented on this already, but I personally don't think it would work well. Don't think Iwobi is really suited for the 8 role in our system. I wasn't a huge fan of the few times we tried it out already either.

You might be right and if I recall correctly Sterling had a dip in form after starting well at Liverpool and a lot of youngsters do dip after coming into the scene. But if you look at King's performances, what he does do very well is press. You can have a bad game or a big dip in form, but that won't impact or at least shouldn't impact your press game. He's all around quality, he does the simple thing and always keeps the ball moving and runs in behind defences. To be honest, I think we have a top quality player on our hands. And as I mentioned on another thread, I wouldn't be surprised if the club offer him a new long term deal before the end of the season - and yes I know he just signed a 4 year deal, in my mind that doesn't matter.

I think he's conveniently glossing over it with the " the Premier League gave green light to the move after new talks with Fulham" - why would we need new talks if it was the same loan??

I highly doubt we are paying £4m for a straight loan with no option. Although we did do something like that for Broja if I recall correctly. My bet is there's an option that's the only way that deal makes sense to me anyway. Otherwise we should have gone for Jamie Vardy on a free transfer / 1 year deal
