I'd hope we would be a bit more reasonable in accepting he had just come off a bad injury when he signed for us.

Regardless, I don't think he'd come [back] to Fulham.
He did a few good things on the field for us. He clearly had talent. But, I hated watching him play for us. Really seemed like he couldn't care less if we won or lost. He did not give a lot of effort.

If you're referring to the speed at which we sign players then I agree we seem to do it different but to be all sarcastic about it is a bit silly imo given our current form and league position.

It's like those people on twitter who seek out every Fulham transfer rumour to reply not happening under them. Genuinely scary behaviour.

You don't need a crystal ball
Why would we sign players when our manager can walk in 6 months our recruitment and board are a complete shambles . Silva stated he wanted players early they sit on there thumbs in my opinion they  obviously don't care if Silva walks or not also our best player this season has 6 months left how we allow players to get in to this position is bordering on complete negligence. Form or not we have massive holes in our midfield that needs addressing also Muniz breaks down or Raul gets injured we are in the 💩 we need a striker in

I think that's a tough position to be in. We were struggling on a lot of different fronts that season. Even for those that loved the club and wanted to win, they weren't good enough. His passion for the club didn't matter to me and I don't think it would matter if it happens this go around. I just want him to be exceptional and make a difference on the pitch. Hopefully once that success is seen, and supporters can let go of the past, then we can determine whether he cares or not. If I'm being honest, watching him play for Milan, he doesn't seem to let his emotions get the better of him either - not too high and not too low. I'm fine with that in a player because we've seen the passion merchant and we've seen the indifferent in terms of a scale - and I don't think it matters at the end of the day.

Again though, I don't think he'll be headed to us. I'm actually surprised he's even in discussion for transfers considering he's playing well this season.

Regarding RLC, not the first player I'd want us to sign, but Silva is the one that signs off players that join I think 🤔?

So, if Silva says yes then he see's something on RLC. I don't see it happening though!
Guy goes into the doctor's.
"Doc, I've got a cricket ball stuck up my backside
"How's that?"
"Don't you start"

The thing with RLC is he was such a frustrating player for a relegation threatened team. Undoubtedly has ability on the ball, but he had no end product. Couldn't shoot, couldn't head, no incisive passing, was only really good at winning free kicks. We need a different skill set.

KJS

RLC sorry but where do you play him and at who's expense??

Craven Mad

RLC is a tricky one.

On the one hand, he looked really bad when playing for us and he didn't play with any sort of passion/care for the club.

On the other hand, he was played in Scott Parker's miserable system where even some of our best ever players (like Mitrovic) looked bad and the tactics (passing sideways/backwards for 90 minutes) wouldn't have suited his style of play.

I can see how he fits the profile of players Marco would like (he's a tall, ball-carrying CM) but it's slightly strange to bring back a player who wasn't good for us in a previous spell with us...

I'm probably slightly more on the side of 'give him another chance' but it's a tight call.

It would be fair to say that we were always going to fight a relegation battle watching Parkerball, and RLC isn't a player for a relegation scrap.

Now we are (in theory but not mathematically) immune from the drop, he may bring something to the table.

But it's fair to say that the jury is out.

RLC is not a signing of a club that should be looking to push for a Euro spot.

Andrew

RLC is a unfortunately a bad joke I never want to see again playing for the club.

Once we had a good run and now seem destined to finish outside the relegationplaces the chances of bringing in any new players of note in this window left the room. The owner has no desire to kick on and try and imrve the squad or reach for a European spot, which is well within reach at the moment. He wants to remain in the Prem with minimum outlay. I don't mind that buyt just wish he would be more honest with us rather than spouting all that PR nonsense when it's time to buy season tickets.

No signings this window, we would have have had to be in the bottom four for any possibility of that. I do not count a last minutie loan or third rater to appease the supporters. All the rumours you have heard have been fake news I am afraid.

Just my opinion based on all previous windows.

No signings = No Marco. Do the Khans really want that?

FFC1987

Seems controversial but I think in a better side, RLC would be a better player in our side. I didn't like his attitude, or perceived attitude when we were in a dogfight, but he's just not that sort of player hence going abroad and playing in higher pedigree sides including in europe.

Saying that, 30 in a few weeks so its probably a no from me....feel like I'm saying No to almost all the links at the moment  :slap: Tough crowd

I do not have the foggiest what the Khan's want in terms of the team. There seems no immediate intention to build the side and kick on. As far as Marco is concened not getting his signature on the page is Russian roulette. I do not recall a better manager than him. WE play good football, exceed the sum of the parts and he develops players in a way no other did. He has united the squad and though I have my favourites and ones I am less impressed with, every player seems to be trying there very best which hasn't always been the case.

He will be a nightmare to replace.

Unfortunately in football as in life what we, Silva or the Khan's want just may at present not be attainable at the price we can afford to pay.

No signing of the contract= no players. No matter what the khan's want/don't want, Khan's can back a manager who can walk in a few months.

Count Flapula

I still have a bad taste in my mouth about his last loan here - we were used to gain fitness and the arrangement benefitted RLC, Chelscum (getting a saleable asset fit and therefore a better price) and we were the only party to lose out. If I'm brutally honest though, if anyone, Fulham FC are to blame for that situation (in hindsight) as we made the call to bring him in on season's loan given where he was fitness wise.

All that being said, speaking subjectively a fit RLC is a good player. Has played his best football in Milan as a no.8, so at 29 would be a good option there IF FIT. Progressive ball carrier and good range of passing, but career has been very stop/start and history has proven he doesn't play well unless in peak fitness (same thing at Milan as here).

He played for England under Tuchel not too long ago but my gut feel is these stories are being planted by his agent to drum up interest and get him back to the PL and make a push for the World Cup squad as Serie A tends to get overlooked these days.

Ability wise for me he'd be a good fit, he's just never been fit enough for a sustained enough period of time for me to want this to happen. Tends to have one good season in between 2/3 injury hit ones, not a good ratio fo a 29 year old.
