I am sometimes surprised at who people think we can sign. Mateta, isn't going to force his way out of Palace to make a sideways move to Fulham.

I understand how Andersen moved to us, but it's not the same thing given the clubs Mateta is linked to and based on his desire for European football and to start for France.

This isn't like FIFA where you just pick who you want to sign.

Must admit I don't think we need to sign Mateta I certainly feel he is not suited to our style of Football he always looks to me to be on the lazy side.

It's just a sideways move whatever we deem our aspirations to be. For example we have 1.6 million followers on instagram, Juventus have 60 million and are a Champions League regular.

The other club in talks for him are Villa apparently. He just wouldn't entertain it.

I think basically any player would see Juventus as a step forward for their career and profile than us. It's just incomparable. Whilst Premier League has a lot of money I think we can forget just how big some clubs are on the continent.

I'm sorry but it's just never going to happen.
