We really should be firstly saying "Is he good enough" if the answer is no, then it does not matter how cheap he is. Disagree, this is completely normal practice after a mixed loan.

At £10m, he's absolutely worth signing. At £25m, we can spend our money better elsewhere. As long as we don't drag it into July, why not negotiate?

Why does it? First half of the season he was arguably the best RW we had and after AFCON and his personal issues, he was forced to play out of position to accomodate Wilson at RW. He wants to stay & if he gets regular football in his preferred position I think he ends up with more G/A than Wilson managed this season. We're just saying to Milan we want him but £26m is too steep, which is a perfectly reasonable position to take. Doesn't seem like Milan want to keep him so its also in their interest to find a compromise on price

The 26m Euro price would be more like £22.5m. If the club can negotiate down to something around £16-18m, then I think  the signing is definitely worthwhile. 

Personally I would get both him and JKA signed up asap.  That way the club can focus on getting in one first choice striker and two decent midfielders once a new manager comes in.

Knowing the way that the club does business (very slowly) - it is not a good ideal to leave the squad several players short going into pre-season. Heaven forbid we go into August needing to sign 5-6 players just to make up the numbers and a new coach getting to know an under sized squad.

Not sure why Delap gets so much stick in this forum.  If he really is a thug, as some suggest, then I say 'hire this man'.  We need some beef and aggression up front in this squad, having so many flyweights in the wide and central areas (King, Bobb, Kevin, Chukwueze if staying).  I know he has fair share of injuries and his season down the road didn't really pan out for him, but he was a major sought after  player the season before.  I'd take him, if available and affordable.  JMHO

Wtf are you on about, Chuk was excellent until his mother passed away and understandably his for dipped, fees are always negotiated after a loan spell

It really isn't the signing on price that is the biggest issue, it's the wages. It's widely reported he is on north of £100k and anything like that would hammer our SCR for a player who is a bit of a punt. If he's prepared to take a very big cut then fine but otherwise I can't see the logic.

May I reassure everyone that my Crack Intelligence Unit have informed me that Fulham
are in the process of bringing in a profusion of players if negotiations are successful, and Ally Mac is working overtime to make things happen.
My only question is that as I have no idea who the new manager is going to be, if these players are signed will the new manager be happy with that as who ever it is may not like what he sees.
Which makes me suspect that Fulham are even closer than we think in bringing in a new manager.
