Wow, what a day. Two top signings. Gonzalo Garcia is a huge coup and you can see by the reaction from Real Madrid fans how highly rated this boy is.

One thing on Palacios - I am seeing most people talk about him as if he will play 8 or 10 but last season his primary position was LW and this is where he played most of his games under Arbeloa at Castilla too.

Especially in the more physical Premier League I think we have signed him to be a LW to challenge Kevin. Not a no10 or CM like some suggest.

That or we'll play two CAMs / the system will be fluid with players switching wide and inside with overlapping fullbacks. Certainly our left side looked pretty fluid with Iwobi and ESR rotating in and around the left in our last friendly.

I like the look of Nwaiwu don't get me wrong, big and physicla etc...  but Cresswell is one of the best CB's coming through for England and is a more known entity.

Goal threat too and has played in Ligue 1 for 2 full seasons as a regular + the championship for a full season too.
Scored 5 goals & 1 assist in the Championship as a teenager
6 goals and 3 assists in Ligue 1 over last couple seasons + 4 G/A in 6 games in the coup de france) ...as a CB

No not yet - All "ITKs" saying firmly the deals are done - Garcia was popping champagne on his socials at mid day yesterday on socials and he didn't train with Madrid today,  Fabrizio with a HERE WE GO and reported everywhere including the Athletic.

All signs clearly point to it being done deal wise.

But the players will have to have medical and media etc before it's fully announced publicly, so I'd imagine another day or 2 till then.

Yep, agreed. It was really only highlighting. We're only a signing in front or behind teams, we were swapping places with in the league last season.
I'd hate to be on Palace's or Bournemouth's versions of FoF. They, like us. Start the season, with new managers.

Yes, I wouldn't see Andersen either, I think he's actually pretty good. He struggled for form at times but I would definitely keep him.

These Turkish clubs are an absolute joke to deal with when you're a prem club, we really gotta stop bothering with them at this point.
