Right Wing-Back from the Bundesliga - who would he be replacing ? Kenny because of his recent injury record ? Joe Scally is only 23 but has racked up 153 Bundesliga games ( and full USMT ). Would be harsh on Kenny but Scally has been injury free and is 7 years younger and about Euro 7 Million. We have wiggle room with squad size to have Tete, Castagne ( cover both RB and LB ) and Scally. He can cover Right Wing if needed as well as he has been mostly playing Wing-Back for two seasons

This is an interesting one, and a good example of being 23 but with 5 years of senior football and first team experience with a bundesliga team. Puts things into perspective. For me this is much more an example of buying youth but with experience to give some guarantees on performance... an interesting opportunity.

Seems to get a fair few yellow cards (8 last season), but the odd goal and assist.

€7m euros if true is also surprising but an interesting reflection on value for money

Does beg the question as you say of who does he replace and what? Tete is older and more injury prone and Castagne has been whipping in a lot of good balls in pre season.. perhaps Arbeloas first choice? Both have limited contracts left
The other point is that Scally and Robinson have been training and playing together with the USMT, so no problems with in game connection and communication

Playing on opposite sides of the pitch, I'm not sure that really matters much. Were it a LW or LCB or even a striker he is used to crossing to then it would be much more of a factor.

Castagne crossed to Sess for his goal yesterday and there was an occasion I recall when Sess crossed and it fell to Castagne. It can happen.

Nice to see the lad has made a career out of football

Preston, Millwall and Stoke are interested in a move for Hull City right-back Cody Drameh, 24, who has a year left on his contract at the MKM Stadium.

I will be as good as I can be and when I cross the finishing line I will see what it got me

Looking at card stats he's more Tete tempered than Tim  ::thumb::
Tete - 58 yellows - 1 red - 345 appearances - (card every 6 games)
Scally - 33 yellows - 0 reds - 205 appearances - (card every 6 games)
Castagne - 38 yellows - 1 red - 417 appearances - (card every 11 games)

Anyone else feel like this team is crying out for an experienced leader to set the standards of winning for all this potential we have. Diarra really improved us all those years ago, also I remember cambiasso dragging Leicester to survival. I see Fabihno on a free and think he might help this squad to mature as a whole. maybe im chatting shite and we should just focus on bringing the average age down

Mahamadou Diarra was top class, the problem was he couldn't play more than 30 minutes, was sad to see. If he had been fully fit he probably wouldn't have found his way to us to be fair. But you are correct, we still never really replaced Danny Murphy (TC is the closest we've had).

Perhaps Silvaball was to blame for the poor Castagne form

Castagne said openly when putting himself out there for a move another summer that the system at fulham wasn't really set up for his profile and skewed heavily towards robinson on the left...Think its the complete flip under AA and now he is the type that works in this system and Tete somewhat isn't

Eh, while he's had the occasional stinker (as all players do) Castagne has been very solid over the entirety of his Fulham career.

Sure it does happen but it's fairly rare

Scally is way more like Tete than Castagne. So I can't envision he and Tete both being on the roster.

Personally I don't think he's up to Premier League standard. There's a reason he's behind both Freeman and Dest in the USMNT pecking order. To date neither of them have proven to be top level defenders either, although I think Freeman has a chance to get there eventually.

I see Tomori is up for grabs, think we could tempt him? contract is up next summer so number touted is 10-15m. Don't think Fulham is quite what he has in mind though

It's not the worse suggestion but he might see us as a step down? If he wants to be back in London or back in spotlight of premiership then you never know? Don't think he'll ever be an elite defender mind you is there such a thing nowadays? but would be a good pick up for us.
On another note spare a thought for AC Milan fans they have no idea that the bloke in charge is a blagger??

I think Kenny is our best right back but in AA style of play his position is in jeopardy.
