Quote from: jayffc on August 23, 2026, 07:59:14 PMYeh it's not a matter of club being perfectly happy with RCB, it's a matter of doing what's possible within budget and not being bent over when we're already offering very reasonable amounts for young talents with minimal experience

Ait Boudlal we've walked away for now and told the club were not going higher and said to player we may revisit next year. He wanted the move apparently

Next rumour is Mbow and apparently we've been offered Tomori by his agent apparently. Decent option for our system but we'll see what club opt to do

Yeah let's see. It seemed as though Ait Boudlal had been the target. I don't don't he is a talented player or might become a very good player. I would feel more comfortable if he was a development signing, and personally not confident in Andersen anymore. So if we can sign a ready to go RCB that would be ideal.

Don't know much on Tomori, but it's been curious how little PL interest there has seemed to be on him.

He's had a couple slightly less impressive years for Milan but was very good originally went he went there for his first few seasons

Good recovery pace, not the best aerially which I think we want, but think he'd could suit our system, plenty experience. For now I'd have been happy enough with Ait Boudlil + Tomori with Anderson departing. agree the youngster looks a bit raw.

Ait was definately a key target along with Nwaiwu but hopefully we can pull something good out the bag. Wouldnt be against tomori this year and try again for a youngster January or next summer

Tomori is quick across the ground, but not good in the air.
As we already concede a number of goals from set pieces he would not be a good fit for us.
I would think he is likely on high (ish) wages.

Remember you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.
I will be as good as I can be and when I cross the finishing line I will see what it got me

According to g to X we have pulled out of signing the Rennes defender due to the valuation. We have informed the players agent that we will monitor and may re visit next summer

Ok so are we are the part of the window where we get surprise signings (ie what we can get) all on the last day?

Guys, Nwaiwu gave away yet another penalty!

I don't know what's happening with him, but he seems incredibly clumsy. I'd rather we not sign him.

Apparently he had a good game outside of this fwiw.  That challenge at 53 seconds into these highlights is chefs kiss🤌
Loses his man in another clip but think the handball was pretty harsh tbh

Is that all you have taken away from the clip? He's a top quality central defender and that early recovery tackle should give you an indication of his ability, not many defenders can make that type of tackle cleanly. As for the penalty, the ball struck his hand and this happens to defenders all the time! He had a very good game and was probably the second best Trabzonspor player after Salah. The fans online were singing his praises after the match and said only an offer of €60 million would prise him away. He's just turned 23, which is young for a central defender, and his best years are ahead of him. He seems to be going through an unlucky phase, penalties and red card, but that doesn't take away his quality. Fulham would be best advised to go back and close the deal. He's suited for Arbeola's game

Not to be negative but are you a Fulham fan or a Nigeria fan (obviously you can be both)? The only posts you've ever made pertain to our Nigerian boys and Nwaiwu, who is also Nigerian.

I'm both! ::scarf::

That's fair, but you being Nigerian could be clouding your judgement on how good Nwaiwu is. He seems to be a good player but either clumsy or unlucky. Pretty sure he's given away more penalties in the last month than Fulham have the entire last season!

Tomori when playing for England played LB or LCB overloaded in that position.

Come on, be honest.
You're his agent, aren't you ?

Jeroen

KHAN is on town so surely we will see a signing coming in the next 48hrs orso

General

eight days left of the window and still in need of a CM, RCB and RW at the bare minimum. Time to get moving properly! Also potentially seeing a RB come in too.

4 signings in 8 days is a tall order for Fulham historically. Let's hope we can bring in some real quality.

Bassey the warrior

I expect Nwaiwu to want to stay now that Salah has joined, he'll be excited and optimistic about their chances of silverware this season.

I somehow didn't realise just how close we are to the window closing until today. Must have not really thought about it but we need to get a move on and sign some players. RCB essential

Tony has his Wembley wrestling show on Sunday, so they are usually in the UK for the final week of August. It doesn't seem to have much correlation with us!
