Pretty clear after today we need attacking reinforcements. We didn't offer much going forward. Also clear we need a centre back

Ignoring the real elephant in the room...

My priorities after today would be, in order:

A quicker centre back
A keeper
A Danny Murphy type.

Moussa Dembele the 3rd

Well looks like you're gonna get a 28 year RB replacing the 30 year old RB who was one of our best players and a central midfielder who weighs 120 pounds.

Which is? You can say goalkeeper but if you watched the game today you would know that our defence got caught twice with basically the same play, namely Andersen. And we offered nothing going forward. Against Chelsea we were gifted a couple of goals so yes we absolutely need some attacking reinforcements.

Anderson was poor again - sloppy, will be replaced, just too slow. Rightly being pushed out the team at this point.

Leno has had an absolute mare again. Too slow on the ball, hoofing up to small man over and over is utterly stupid, especially after standing on the ball for 20 seconds each time.

Iwobi and berge poor again, quicker recycling and ability to turn the press needed. Hopefully Manuel angel helps this. Alex particularly has been too slow to move the ball around in the centre.

Another natural RW would be much appreciated so Sess doesn't have to play there. Seems we are in the market for one thankfully

Glad we will have some pace and power coming in at RB too. Be nice to have that threat added.

Poor man management of Muniz today. Just scored and then in a game our striker isn't making an impact he doesn't even get 10minutes. Imagine that doesn't feel great.

I wish we had the budget for a GK but sadly not sure we have enough in the kitty for a decent one this window without a significant sale elsewhere.

More work to do  but the team just didn't show up today. We knew there would be an adjustment period but a couple players we are looking to replace at least are clearly not really suited to how we want to play

Trusty Steed

Could Letcombe maybe worth a chance?
If it was Benda, no chance..... but he's gone praise the lord

FFC007

Well we will see what scrag ends and damaged goods we get in on Tuesday....

RCB absolutely essential, I would also like to see a physical forward that others like King and Garcia can feed off.  Wingers that can shoot would also be welcome.

I've said it all along, a top keeper should have been the priority. The goal conceded with Leno going for the ball with his feet after dawdling out was Sunday league.

If the bloke who was kept out of the Madrid team by Mbappe can't get any service then I really don't see what the bloke who was being kept out by an ageing Raul could have done differently. Even if he did score ONE goal against the team 13th in league one!

So just never play him again when we need a goal then ay, based on that logic?

It's not that straightforward

Different profiles and each move then plays out differently with different players on the pitch, and you potentially approach the attack in a slightly different way.

Muniz manages to get his head /body on things for flicks a bit better in physical duels than Garcia did today when we were lumping balls up to him.

Point is if you have a striker you are trying to build confidence in and saying in interviews that's important ...and you know he needs that boost.
And your starting striker has done nothing of note for 80minutes. Why not try a different profile and give the player looking to rebuild his confidence a run out off the back of a goal?

You might refer to him as the guy who scored against a crap team in the cup who struggled to get in over Raul but he was coming off an injury last year and he's also the player who has proven effective off the bench multiple times in previous seasons against top premier league opposition.

Definitely need a replacement keeper. His stats for last season very clearly illustrate his decline. His distribution was slow and erratic and even if the initial fault for their goal was with Andersen, a quicker keeper would have got off his line and reached that.

I'm not saying it wouldn't be nice to get a new keeper, I'm saying we clearly need other areas improved. We need more attacking threat and definitely a centre back, both more important that bringing in a new keeper at the moment.

Exactly

RCB
CM
Winger

All equally important first XI priorities

However I cannot see us doing all that in just a few days, and there's a worrying lack of good rumours

I certainly agree there are higher priorities, definitely RCB and midfield. However I have been flagging the need to get a replacement in for Leno for 12+ months now so it's a little disappointing that we are still reliant on him.

JimmyConway

Personally think it will be negligible if we don't bring in another striker option before transfer deadline. Too many risks or inconsistencies with the options we currently have.

If we do we would need to sell one I guess

junior white

For me we need an
RCB
CM (maybe 2)
RW/RM

Then possibly...
RB if Tete is off
STK as long as one goes out
GK based on today, can't get coming out with his feet out of my mind and I'm a big Leno fan

I'd sell ESR and use King ( still needs to get stronger physically) and Palacios as the 10's, move Iwobi wider and as back up to the other 2 in the 10 role
