I can totally see the concerns regarding Manuels size, he is deceptively good on the ball for his size and press resistant though. But, of course, different level in the prem. If it is indeed to be him, here's hoping he has the quality to step up.

These kids are adjusting to the prem, they are gonna have good and bad days, ultimately though we have already seen in flashes their brilliance too. Just as we shouldn't get too carried away when they do something insane, we probably shouldn't get too carried away when they have an off day. Bad day at the office this week, we go again next. Hopefully with a bit more fire in the belly at home to Palace.

Just wish it was a little more phased. We could be looking at a team where so many players are adapting to a new league simultaneously. All for these lads as they obviously have talent, and we had to do something about the squad. It just feels so sudden.

Hopefully we can bring in some players that can lead and won't need to adapt as well. Raul was perhaps our key leadership figure alongside maybe TC, in that he brought calm and led by example on the pitch, and visibly has a good impact on his younger teammates.

Look around the league though, there are teams with far more new players and younger teams doing just fine with less experienced players in their squad than us.

For me yesterday the issue wasn't experience - we only started 2 of our new signings...we just didn't press like we've been intending to and lacked energy massively. Our two experienced players Berge and Iwobi did nothing in the middle and Anderson and Leno both had a blooper moment too easily beaten.

Not sure that's entirely correct. Young yes, but if rumours are to be believed Hugo Larsson from Eintracht Frankfurt has plenty of experience, Ait Boudlal has a decent amount too.

He can give a list of players he wants, but it's then a question of whether the board and transfer team of Ali Mac and TK etc can actually bring them in by selling the club, vision , and sorting out the financials

Need at least 3x Romano/Ornstein drops today for me to have any faith we will cover the 4 positions we need. It's very rare that a deadline day drop comes out of the blue for multiple signings. anything that drops today will likely go to a deal sheet

PLenty of good teams in the Prem with younger squads, over the last few seasons we consistantly have the oldest squad. In a way, MS build stability, but nothing more. I do wonder if we have a team of players who are not built for AA's system and it is more than a few signings to fix this

I would argue that AA's system requires a Man City/Bayern type budget to build a successful squad for.

Danso wouldn't be too bad really if it is a loan and a stop-gap. He has the pace to cover the ground we need.

We need a CB similar to what Sunderland had yesterday in Mukiele - you only have to watch Gonzalo's blocked shot to realise the pace for the recovery is so critical.

Ryan Flamingo could be a good fit.

He was offered to us by his agent apparently.
Seems like he could be one on the backburner in case our main young targets don't come off (or pehaps if we find a buyer for Anderson too)

We have had serious offers again turned down for Ait Boudlal and Le Guen reportedly - whilst Mbow was out of the starting team for Paris FC this weekend and Matsima's Augsburg bringing in a new RCB. Something surely lands eventually.

Hopefully a sensible decision by club to let Asare go out on loan as long as they have an experienced replacement coming in. Was always going to be a huge risk with the three we have which started the season not to have at least one proven in the squad.

Time we looked for a few home grown players with a bit of ooooomph about them,like Danny Murphy,Simon Morgan,Lee Clark.
Instead of these lightweights from abroad who play to a different style to the Premier League.
Point is there doesn't seem to be any around anymore like the ones I've mentioned.
