Out of interest, does anyone know how big our transfer team is? Atm we seem to be negotiating for 10 players in some form or other, including presumably having to sit down with players/clubs and their representatives to negotiate fees and contracts.

I'm assuming that's not all being done by just Ali Mac and TK, so how many people do we have at the club working on these things and who are they?

Sort of like Hangeland or Robinson for £2m each.

Hangeland was in 2010 and Robinson 2020 so I don't see any comparison with today's market.

Diop is a starting CB for Ipswich in 2026. We sold him for £8 million I believe so totally comparable with a CB we are allegedly signing for £8.5 million.

Granted it's a highlight wheel, but Affengruber looks the real deal and the kind of ball playing CB that we need and fits the system at the right price. A cross between Scotty Parker (player) and Anderson.

We already seem to have accepted Tete, Andersen and Berge won't work with his tactics. We can't be writing off any more £20m players.

Hodgson worked wonders with a bunch of players largely chosen by Sanchez. AA has to get the most out of the likes of Kevin, and ESR too.

Strange comment and yet got 8 likes. Andersen and Berge didn't play well last year for Silva and neither did Kevin, ESR or Bobb. Perhaps Silva wasted a lot of money on players nowhere near worth their transfer fees.

Clearly more agile than Anderson.   Too bad we can't have both he and Tomori leading our back line.

29 tackles is less than one a game. For a DM that's pathetic. He's not fit to tie up Palhinha's shoelaces. Shall I post Andersen's miserable stats as well? Berge just passes sideways and backwards and so his only good stat is the worthless pass completion, which applies to centre backs as well who spend their lives doing the same.

My mate, who is a development coach at a low level English club and studies the game a lot deeper than me, reckons Larsson has elite potential and is a steal at that price

Please do! You'll struggle to find them (well, miserable ones that is).

Joa and Sander contributed to a solid top half of the PL defense last season that was let down by poor goalkeeping. As I've said many times, give Fulham a slightly below average PL goalkeeper (or a strike partnership that could have managed even 8-10 non penalty goals) and Fulham would be playing in Europe this season. Andersen and Berge were the least of our problems.

I mean, following this logic, we write off five relatively recent signings that cost a combined ~£150m, attribute their failure to the last manager making bad decisions, and now let the new manager who's relatively unproven and has only been here a few months, decide how to spend a similar amount replacing them. That would be utterly absurd.

I'm not necessarily saying AA should be expected to work wonders with all of them, but taking Andersen as an example, he offers AA something similar to what Hodgson had with Hughes or Silva had with Ream.
