Football Insider just posted in the last half hour that Silva is joining Benfica after positive talks with President Rui Costa.
Football Insider have been known to get things wrong though.

Totally unsatisfactory what's going on.Always the fans left in the dark.Big Fan of Marco but I do feel a certain mistrust in how he's handled this situation.

Agreed 100% , it's giving me Kit Symons vibes again.

Wouldn't mind Mckenna, highly thought of,three promotions, league 1 to Championship, and Championship to Premier twice,Might do well at a settled Premier side like us.

Oh for the days of Tigana's Black and White Army  ::scarf::

I sincerely hope amongst all this carry on,that the club are sussing out other managers, and not sitting on their hands

The coach at Sunderland would be a great replacement.
McKenna is worth a shot and get my support.

Pochettino?? The next Fulham manager??? oh dear or dear oh dear.....fantasy levels are clearly increasing day by day around the Cottage,,,,,,Fabregas perhaps, but only a perhaps, but Pochettino is going to leave the USA job after the World Cup and replace Silva, who, incidentally, has not said that he is going anywhere......despite most fans wishing he will go??? Pochettino has got as much as chance of becoming Fulham manager as Pep or Liverpool reject, Arne Solt.

Fulham is a SMALL club. How many more times???

Stop spreading so called 'announcements' that continue to be just speculation.

Wait for an official announcement regarding Silva before posting third hand information from a spurious source

can only assume this whole post is tongue in cheek considering the mention of Fabregas after completely laughing off Poch.

I honestly have no idea who we should be going after (not McKenna, not Ange, not Slot) but surely this is the best time to have to replace Silva.

The 3 promoted teams weak on paper (though same was said last year), managerial merry-go-round elsewhere, some teams around us have European distractions.

Well then we might as well never post again. It's off season and Marco is the only person left to either sign or not sign and Fulham are not known to the most forthcoming with information.

Deadcowboys

There appears so little coverage of Benfica & Silva on Sky or the Beeb I'm surprised so many are getting hot under the collar because Talk Gibberish are pushing it. It may happen, it might not.

Silva getting some stick here but Wilson seems to get a free pass & their situations are pretty much the same.

With the greatest of respect, why do you come across as so snide with a large portion of your posts? This is a discussion forum, if you think that someone's post is so outrageously unbelievable, then why don't you just ignore it rather than being snarky? Given that we're supposedly offering Silva a salary that would make him a top 4 earner in the richest league in the world, it's not totally unrealistic to assume we could potentially tempt a big name manager with a big salary and an ambitious transfer window to give them a platform to build their rep further, which is the point of this forum to debate those possibilities rather than being rude to one another?
